I haven't heard a word either. I just noticed she removed me from her "friends list." I have no idea why. :(
Sometimes unless someone speaks up, you don't realize there is a problem.

How come no one asked where Ridge Runner has been?
Hey Bloo, I'm just busy. I accepted an ADDITIONAL position at Metro training new drivers for them. My first class goes to the DMV Friday. :eek1:
Thanks for asking.
Hoggie, I deleted ALL my friends (nothing personal ) and everything in my profile, but it wouldn't let me delete my account (I was trying to ground myself. :D )
Rev, ******** has been on my Ignore List ever since I found that option, so she can't get to me.

Darlin'.... :block:
usually when a lady leaves me, I'm given a good stout slap.
Kinda like when we first meet, before she gets to know me. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l236/Leland10/29293453c27d83f71d.gif

Oh come on. You're over on Borg's board as a moderator. It's not a big deal and it's no big secret. So why try to hide it? People are allowed to post on multiple boards. Heck, people even moderate multiple boards. I wish Russ all the best on his board and hope it grows into a nice place to visit. And I appreciate the fact that when he did create his new board, he didn't do it and take shots at CAD and the mods over here when the changeover was happening. That didn't work out so well for Steve and others should consider themselves lucky they didn't suffer the same fate. But by all means, if you want deleted, just say the word. Then you can take all the shots at us that you want.
And as an FYI, I've spoken to Borg about his new board and been invited over there. For that matter, I was even invited to be a moderator for one of his forums. I declined for the reason that I'm just way too busy to multi-task like that.

I wasn't aware I was trying to hide anything. I am a Mod on Borgie's board, as well as two others that have nothing to do with trucking. I felt it was in poor taste to advertise that fact here, but since you've done it for me, thank you. :D Sorry to disappoint, but taking shots at you isn't my style. When I've had to ask for your help, you were always helpful, so nothing to take a shot about. Do I always agree with how you handle things as a MOD? No, but that's my perogative. There are people who don't like how I handle things either, no big deal.

I'm quite aware that you and Russ have talked. As I told him, my decision to take a break from CAD has nothing to with him, or his board. Like you, I have limited time and have to decide where my time spent is the most beneficial to myself, and others. For right now, I don't feel I have anything of value to add, so rather than waste my ( or anyone else's) time posting irrelevant drivel, I thought it best to quietly slip away. So much for that! :o
For right now I am heavily involved in Mass Transit, which isn't the focus of this board. That may or may not change, but life is all about change, isn't it?

Boards thrive on irrelevant drivel.
I just don't understand the need to delete your account, that's all. This isn't a popularity contest. People can and often do post on multiple boards. You may feel you have nothing to offer right now, but a couple months down the line you may decide you do and decide to come back full time. That happens everywhere. So why burn a bridge when you don't need to?
Anyway, my point of the "taking shots" comment was that when this board went down due to the changeover, there was a lot of negative posts on other boards about it. I already explained that I had asked that the board be notified well before the changeover, but that didn't happen. The board changed over and everything tanked for a couple of days, unfortunately. I've busted my tail since then getting everything up and running from my end and as user friendly and fun as I could make it. But still the negativity lingers and I don't get it. By and large, the feedback I have received on the new board style has been positive. Yes, it took a bit to work out the bugs, but I'm still mystified as to why some people still think CAD has declined and the whole board thing was some mass conspiracy by the mods to screw everyone over.
Anyway, I'm not going to sweat it, either way. I'm not going to delete your account. If you leave, then you leave. But the door will remain open to return whenever you want.

I wish to inject a couple of aphorisms if you will :
Change isn't always easy and you can't please everyone.
I think CAD is still an excellent board!!! and am adjusting nicely, thank you.

from a purely technical standpoint, it's sop to delete unused accounts. Nothing to do with poularity or burning bridges. I've deleted accounts on forums and bb's for years, no big deal. It's an internet forum, people come and go all the time, just the nature of the beast.

as i said before, it has more to do with changes irl, my online time is limited. It has nothing to do with the board changing. And you know as well as i do that there are those members who will think everything is a conspiracy. :d that won't change. As far as blaming the mods, that won't change either. Cad is a commercial enterprise and the new owners will make whatever changes needed to keep it viable. The mods wil take the brunt of it because you are the ones people know, they don't see or talk to management.
anyway, i'm not going to sweat it, either way. I'm not going to delete your account. If you leave, then you leave. But the door will remain open to return whenever you want.
