Yes it can be added to the vBulletin® Version 3.7.2 program.
There can be a YouTube icon added to our links that would look like this http://www.realimagehost.com/uploads/d4d13dccbb.gif (http://www.realimagehost.com)
It will take a little code monkey work to install the feature.

Then when we want to add a video from YouTube, we would copy the video number from the URL. For Example:
If this is the link to the video you want to show:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxKJgOZXEho

We would be interested in copying the last 11 characters, in this case; xxKJgOZXEho

Then when we want to make our post, just click the YouTube button (looks like this: http://www.enigmamusic.com/forum/images/buttons/youtube.gif

It will ask us to give it an option for your yt tag. This means to give it a title. 'The Dark knight' or whatever you want to call it.

The link will now look something like this:



In between the tags, PASTE THE 11 CHARACTER VIDEO CODE

The link should now look something like this:

Then the YouTube link would be posted for members to watch, without having to leave the site. I don't know if this effects dial up accounts...

i think better viewing since they wouldn't have to wait for anything else on the you tube site to load. no ads, or other links. the only downside i can see is that it would increase the size of a post. here's a full size example........... no, it doesn't stretch the post horizontally, that's a feature of the snipping tool i used to take the screen shot. if you center it, that's what shows up on your screen.

Anyway, I know the feature can be added to this program alright, but not sure how popular it would really be on this message board. I see mostly music sites use the YouTube link, for obvious reasons. Maybe if we took a survey?

I wondered if it would help dial up speed view the link, if they wanted to click on and view. Makes sense what you are saying. I know when I use my aircard while out on the trail, download is a concern. I still like to go to YouTube when I'm using my aircard, and when I go to the site, some of those links can take 15 minutes or so to download. With my cable modem here at home, ofcourse it is of no concern.

I do need to join up...I've come up with a new way to get rid of spam.
It's easy to install, 100% effective, and user friendly...so far.

The Who's On Line link gives you a run down on who's on what and what they are doing...... even tells you that you are viewing the Who's online page.:eek::D
