Change the Forum sort default from listing alphabetically to newest post first so I don't have to sort everything everytime I go into a Forum.


It's quite annoying! :mad: Not to mention you're losing members who think all the posts are gone!

Yeah - having it default to sort alphabetically and only the last 24hrs worth of posts....

I posted this in another thread, but I guess its appropriate here as well:

Sorry guys, we did test this on a development server and we have been testing data imports on this for a few weeks now. That being said, we tested with a sample of users that we had access to their accounts and passwords. Lee did make a posting a few days ago, but with the activity on this board , I'm sure it got lost in the traffic. With roughly 20,000 users, 400,000 posts and much more to consider we were doomed to have a few glitches, most of which couldn't be accounted for until we turned the system loose on you guys. Thank you so much for you patience. We know this is a popular board and serves as more than just a simple chat room. The company that now owns ClassADrivers.com also owns vBulletin, the software now running this message board. Basically this means, once we get over this initial hurdle, support, security and features will continue to increase. Thanks again and please just wait us out as we try to make your experience the most enjoyable possible.

I want my old username back as well. It's not even in the memberlist. I tried to get the system to reset my password, but it has no clue who I am (Malaki86, btw).

Mine isn't in the member list yet either, but it still let me change my password and log back in. Just try it. It will email you a new password to use. Then you have to change it in the USER CP.


When you try to login and you can't you shuld get an option to reset your password. Follow the link.

I tried it, but it said I entered an invalid email. Of course, I've been a member here for longer than I can remember. It's very possible that I used an email address that doesn't even exist now.

RebelDarlin, sorry, forgot to mention, you can change your default sort order and other display settings under you control panel(User CP -> Edit Options)

I did that, it only changes the posts in a thread, not in a forum. The Forum Default sorts by Thread Title and has to be changed everytime I go onto a Forum.

Apparently you can only put text in the sig line. No HTMLor BB code is turned on YET.

Yeah the sort order is within threads only. Setting the forum to default back to descending/last post is usually an option for the admins to set up in the ACP.

Well.... at least it's that way for phpbb, not sure about vb.

So maybe someone with administration rights can look into that?

A quick way for the time being, until it gets sorted out. You can click on the "Last Post" link on the top of each forum, to bring the last posts to the top.

This is funny. I tried to "unsubscribe" to the threads I've posted in tonight (I don't need to subscribe to a thread, thank you very much), and every time I click on one to unsubscribe, it tells me I am banned. That is too friggin hilarious.


(and yes, I've already done the password reset thing.)

In user cp/edit options change the default for subscribing to posts.

I'm just checking to see if my avatar is showing ... this is my 1st time since all this changed ...:rolleyes: ... hopefully it will go smoother as time goes on. Not sure I like this new forum ... :(

I looked in the members list too ... and couldn't fine my name either ... heck they changed my username to ..... 4roses_01 ...... Whats up with that :eek:
