Not Getting PM Notifications

I'm not getting notifications through my email that I have a PM. My profile is set correctly. This just started happening. So what's wrong? :?

okay, I've heard back from you...I'm going to look some more...but I don't have Administrative powers, so I can only check personal preferences.

Are you using Outlook Express 6 by any chance for your email account?
...and long as I'm asking, have you changed anything with your security or if multiple email accounts, have you checked your email preferences?

I had that problem myself when I set one email account as the "parent" account, and didn't switch over to the account my PM notification was set on.

i only have the msn account. i am using either safari or firefox to check my email. this only started with in the last week or so. i haven't changed anything to my settings.

these things usually happen only to me. :?

I was hoping it was something of an email preference on your msn that needs to be reset. I will bring this to the Admins attention.

Roadhog I have some yard work that needs tending.

I need the two trees in the front thinned or topped before winter.

I would also like the wood cut and split, then stacked nicely in my garage.

My husband would do it but he just pulled his bicep tendon and rotator cuff. If he listens to the stinking doctor and takes it easy he won't need surgery. Damn Damn Damn stubborn men.

Anyway back to my " to do list" :wink: 8)

I think the lower heating element in my dryer is out, it still gets hot but it's taking twice as long to dry my clothes. Should be easy,

Then my dishwasher, my achilles heel. A replacement would do fine.

All this done before fall quarter too if you don't mind, You got roughly three weeks.

I talked with Vagega, and she said she is having trouble too. She changed her account from her aol mail to her comcast and I just reinstated her, so I'm curious to see if that solves the problem for her.

I think if it were a bug in the phpbb, it would glitch the pop up, but not the email notification...and also it would be a universal problem with other accounts.

Anyway, while I am trimming Trukrswyfe's bush :D...could y'all check your spam box? ISP may have change parameters.
A firewall with built-in spam protection?
If you can reset your email preferences maybe?...I know I had to do that once, but I was using two different email accounts off my OutLook Express, and had one set as a "parent" account, and needed to switch over.

Vavega said the board is slower than normal for her, and I have noticed the same thing. We'll see if rebooting the server, can speed things up.

I have had the same email address for 7 years. I checked my preferences, same as usual. All other emails are coming through fine.

that worked roadie, i got the notification to my comcast mail account.

i believe the link i sent regarding the big isp's and what they require in their email headers to not treat it as spam, is our problem.
and by spam i don't mean what goes in your spam box, but what they consider spam and toss before it even gets to you. :shock:

i'm having similar trouble on another board, so i'll ask the admin there what he can suss out.
