?'s For Those With MySpace/Facebook pages

I know lots of people here have a MySpace/Facebook page. I have been thinking about creating an account for a while now and have a couple of questions.

Why did you join in the first place?
How secure are these pages? Can anybody access them?

I signed up when I was in college because all my friends had it.

You can set it to private so seeing your photos, comments, etc can't be seen. Facebook is a lot more private over myspace when you have it set that way.

Thanks. I'm still debating. I think everyone has a page. My brother and husband have their own pages. I would really like to post my artsy pictures on it, just as a creative outlet.

I have a few different online pages... with the settings adjustments available on them I can decide to have them public where just anyone online can happen across them or I am also able to set them to private where only the ones I choose are able to view them. I really haven't had much issue with the pages that I leave to public view settings as far as 'unwanted' ones bothering me, the very few times that has happened I've simply been able to remove whatever comments or whatnot the 'unwanted' ones have left on my page and continue on my way. I have a few reasons for leaving some of my pages public and some of them private, the ones I set to private are generally only in place just to share more information with family and friends without sending out mass emails and such... the pages I have with more public settings share less of our personal info and are in place more for the matter of relocating ones we have lost contact with over the years as well as to reach out meet new friends.

Hoping you're enjoying working with the site you've decided to set up your own page on :) Took me a little while to get it all figured out with the online pages we're able to put on different sites but was well worth the time I spent figuring it all out once I had it all done :)
