Well, it looks like after the antics of Sean Avery on Marty the NHL has put in place new rules. What he did wasn't against the rules but it was childish in a funny sort of way. He was blocking Marty using his hands like a 5 yr old would do. I was quite amused and that's using your head. It wasn't quite goalie interference, but rather a new form of screening. :wink:

Yeah, just what the world needs is more time for announcers to (do-naughty-things-that-rhyme-with-snow) Sidney Crosby. Seriously, it makes me ill. I keep waiting for them to show pictures of him with a halo. :roll:

I haven't followed that series too much. But I thought the Sens were mucher better than that, guess I was wrong.

Now the Minn. and Av. series is getting interesting. The series is tied and 3 overtimes. That's great hockey.

That is - reminds me of the Sabres run two years ago... *sigh* I'm hoping the Pens'll put Ottawa away tonight and then get knocked out in the next round.

Because seriously, I can't stand the way commentators are with Crosby.

Everybody says Crosby is suppose to be the next 'great one'. We shall see. The jury is still out with me. I don't get to watch regular season hockey too often. It's hard to find on VS. I'm stuck with the Rangers, Devils and Islanders. :roll:

The Devils are done!!

And the Redwings are still in it. The Preds tied it with 43 seconds left in regulation. I almost had a heartattack. In overtime, it's anybody's game, but the Wings came out on top. We'll see if they can close it out.

The Redwings move on to the next round. I couldn't stand it if they got knocked out in the first round again. :roll: The Avs make it through too. That could be interesting....

Round 2 has begun. The Redwings almost blew a 4-1 lead against the Avs. last night. The Wings came out on top. It will be a long series, game 6 and maybe even a game 7. :?

I tried desperately to get my three sons and husband to go to a hockey game but none are interested..... :shock: :shock:

They said they'd go if I wanted them to. Well I would rather do something else, So I didn't push it.

The Redwings take game 2. I didn't get a chance to watch the game yesterday. I had a roller skating party and softball scrimmage to attend.

I'm not a big fan of Hasek. He is a great goalie, but I have always liked Osgood better. Maybe he can get them another Cup.

I actually watched the Red wings game, was the last win where they were ahead by four?

Anyway the fighting that I said bother me, saw one, they exchanged a couple words. I cant read lips but I think it went something like.

" Hey you want a piece of me?"
" Ya!"

"let's go then!"

They laid down their gloves and sticks and started throwing. I suppose it was entertaining. :lol: 8)

The Redwings now take game 3 from the Avs. I don't think the Wings will sweep. I think the Avs will win game 4. They have had a lot of key players get hurt and miss games. This wouldn't be happening if everyone was healthy.

Maybe I have closet Redwings fans here. :lol:

I actually watched this game, My kids kept complaining though that the guys were fighting. Which didn't really happen. I told them that slamming them into the glass is like when a football player lineman goes head to head. It's not fighting it's defense, or offense whoever has the puck.

I hate to say it mommee, but their loss is my fault, I am jinxed. If I watch and root for a team they lose. Look at my track record, Mariners.... I owe every seat holder season's tickets or a refund.

Just know I have to now root for the other team, in hopes of not ruining the Wings chances.
THAT does really work, example, I was all for the New England Cheaters, and they lost. :wink: :lol:

That's fine with me. Everytime I watched the Devils play, they would win. So I stopped even peaking in to see the score, during the game. Then they would lose.

I managed to watch the game also (actually came in around the beginning of the 2period). Since Im in the truck 99% of the time I never get to watch "cable" TV. Was at my folks house on Long Island, and "surfing" the channels, and "tripped" on the game. I was glued to it. Had to watch it to the finish, I was impressed with the Redwings when they finally realized they needed to ____or get off the pot. WOW I was amazed at the skill between the 2 teams. Wish I could see the rest of the games.

I just got stopped for my break and switched on the TV and caught the last 6 or 7 minutes of the 3rd period. Was very surprised I was able to receive the game on regular "air" TV.

Redwings lose in the 3rd OT. I am so digusted. I don't think I can watch game 6 on wed. Well I've seen the Wings hoist the Cup 3x before so can't complain. It's only a game.

Still, I can't believe the Pens tied it with only 38 sec. left in the d**n game. Then, they won on a 4min. power play in the 3rd OT. I can't stand it. I am so annoyed. I know I am ranting, but this is the sports forum. Can't they just close the deal? The last couple of games they had to play catch up. What is their problem!!!! I was so mad that I threw the K. Maltby jersey at my husband. I couldn't sleep last night.
