Default Question for TMC drivers?

Quick question about TMC...does TMC have an idle policy or idle/fuel bonus?

TF, from what's been said on this thread: http://www.classadrivers.com/phpBB2/...ic.php?t=32564

Doesn't look like they have a bonus but do have an idle policy going.

Looking for a good training company to get started with Flyer? Good choice for a driver living in Iowa.

Maybe they'll let you commute from home during orientation and pay you the hotel money!

I do not believe they have a set idle policy, and the trucks, atleast the 3, that I ran, didnt shut off after so long, etc. If your idle time is higher, ie idle the truck everynight your out, youll get between 40-50% idle time, and they will call you on this. I have been called almost every service(thats when they check), they will not tell you shut the truck off, or your fired, just like a dispatcher will not come right out and tell you to run illegal, however they will make you feel like your causing the company to go bankrupt because of your wanting to keep warm.

The company i left TMC to goto feels the same about idle time, HOWVEVER they have a nice webasco unit in the bunk, that does a great job keeping it warm, I respect thier wanting to keep idle a minimum, with the unit in place. The ones who always called me, would rather you be uncomfortable, than productive, and they offer no heat/cooling alternative other than a cheap heated mattress pad.

But to answer your question, no. But it will make your fuel mileage suffer, so its a catch 22 when it comes to thier snapshot
