Default Need Direction

Hubby has decided to go out on the road. We are deciding who to go with...looking for some honest input
Currently he is looking at Swift, Heartland Express and possibly Millis, each for different reasons

I am looking for anyone to PM and give their thoughts, good or bad.

Please help
thanks

Those are all coolie-carriers: work 100, log 70, paid for 50 and sleep in a box for no money. Much better outfits with 3 years experience...assuming, of course, his MVR/DAC is clean.

If so, he should be looking into LTL or maybe a private fleet like Wal-Mart. Tankers, car-haulers, over-dimensional, dumps, mixers...that's where the money and the hometime's at. Forget the steering-wheel holder cut-rate OTR van outfits...they're all the same. No shortage of such companies that will pay you less than .50 cpm (not off the hub) to live out of your work vehicle.

That does not really mean anything.

Since he is looking at training companies (with the exception of Heartland but they do have a refresher option) I would surmise his driving experience is limited and/or he has been off the road for quite a while.

When asked how much experience someone has the information needed is how many months or years they have actually worked as a OTR driver and how much time local of the type of equipment they are looking to drive if there is any of that type of work in his/her background.
