if you're using internet explorer in xp.........

at the top of your browser window, click on tools
then click on internet options
and under the general tab you'll find temporary internet files with a button delete cookies

ie in vista is tools>internet options>browsing history

if you're using firefox

once again at the top of the browser window click on tools
in the clear private data box, check cookies and then the clear private data button.

try hitting preview first, then submit. there's a bug in the phpbb software.

for those that want to clear your cookies, but not lose all of them, try cookie monster (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Security-Related/Cookie-Monster.shtml)

it will allow you to save cookies to sites that you want, and delete the rest with one click. works with IE and firefox

This problem has NOTHING to do with clearing cookies! It has nothing to do with previewing first. It MAY have something to do with the ISP, but I don't think so! I have had this problem for almost a YEAR now! I have to submit about 10 times for EVERY post!

With a SIMPLE google search, I found a PhPBB service board site where THEY are complaining and discussing the problem! I guess CAD is too busy to check support groups for their OWN application.

If they will PLEASE tell me what version they are running, I will be able to determine WHICH "fixes" might apply. I am not even a computer guru, but I know how to look for the source of a problem!

Apparently, it is not important enough for CAD to investigate, even though MANY of us are having the problem, and many MORE have probably LEFT the site for lack of patience.

Sorry, CAD..... but we have asked you over and OVER to investigate this, and you have blown us off!

I guess the "message board" just doesn't bring in enough revenue!

I HAD a link, but I lost it when my computer crashed before I could save it (I think.) I've gotta go TRUCKING now, but I'll find it for you again next week. But, it WAS just a simple google search for PhP software, and ONE of the "hits" was an admin support group site. They mentioned corrupted files in the 2.0 version (I think) and how you ONLY had to correct ONE line in the upgrade!

I'm SICK of being told to do this or that. I've seen Site Administrators asking the SAME questions on this support site, so I say..... it's time for YOU to look in YOUR backyard!

NOW.... I'll have to copy, (to keep from losing this post) and preview, and hit submit about 15 times (maybe login again a few times while I'm at it,) and EVENTUALLY this post will get submitted (and probably ignored) by CAD!

I don't KNOW why SOME don't have a problem! Maybe it IS in the ISP (or AOL) but I doubt it. I think it is in YOUR CODE, and it only affects SOME of us. Unfortunately for YOU and ME.... I'm ONE of them!
