wonderful use of dry ingredients to save on storage.
2cups beef jerky, choppped
8cups water
2cups vegetable soup flakes (or use enough packages of instant vegetable soup to equal 2 cups)
1 cup dried sliced mushrooms
4cups dried sliced potatoes(instant scalloped work well)
basil
garlic powder
tarragon
salt and pepper
Place in crockpot for 8 hours on low ( I premix this and have it in baggies so i just have to add water)
3 Tbsp flour plus water to make a thin paste
Add to pot
2 1/2 cups biscuit mix
3/4cup water
Mix and drop by spoonfuls into pot to make dumplings Cook on high for 20 min.
When I prepare this little treat I use big ziplocs for the mix, a small snacksize one for the flour and sandwich size for the biscuit mix I then put the two little bags inside the large bag so its all ready to go
