Ok before I get to far into all of this I will give you my details.
22 years old, 1 year or experience, Felony in 2005 for passing bad checks
I am getting ready to join U.S. Express and drive OTR. Only questions I have is that I have been driving for a year and I have herd some horror stories about the autoshifts. Are they as bad as they are talked about? I worry about how they will work. Do you still have the power and control to pull a heavy load? Are they weak and break all the time? do the jakes still work the same. Also can anyone tell me what the trucks are set at speed wise. I am looking at leasing a truck threw them later. Do they only lease autoshifts? Who knows I might like the autoshift once I am out there.

Hell no this is not slider64683. Him and I grew up together though. My father is the one who got him intrested in trucking. My dad has been driving since he was 18 and he is now 59. Slider and I went to driving school together and even joined Gainey together. He was there for a couple of months then his ol lady made his choose between her or driving. He went home. Since then all i know is that he has been working from some company out or the dakotas hauling flat bed. not sure though. I drove for gainey for 7 months and then moved to a better paying job closer to home still driving. Now the company is on the verg of going under so i am looking for a new job.
Man it is bad when you come to an internet site to talk to people and they just see your from the same town and think you are that person. WOW he must have made you guys upset. He has been known to do that to alot of people in the past. Kinda part of the reason him and I don't talk anymore. Hope you guys don't think I am just like him by just living in the same town and knowing the guy.

Be careful when considering a lease, read other posts on here, specifically Spencerians post on the CR England lease program, not saying that US Express's lease program is the same, but i just don't see the good in any of them. As far as the autoshift goes, i went through training at Commercial Carriers with an autoshift Mack Vision, you can switch it to manual and button shift it like a regular manual shift, and the jake all works the same, the only thing i didn't care for was pulling grades, it seemed to go crazy with downshifting and all, that's when i would select the manual shift, and just do it on my own. I made sure that i was assigned a 10 speed after training because i just did not care for the automatic, but they're not bad, i can't guarantee that US Ex. uses the same autoshift that i had in the mack, but if they do i don't think you'll mind.

Good luck to you Slider! More people enjoy the autoshift then don't. Those that don't, really hate it. You will have a choice of a few, find the one that you can live with. Watch the paychecks there, not that they are bad, something may be missing. Make sure to send every Macro that pertains to pay or you will be missing a lot. But heck, at least they are not bad checks.

Your town has nothing to do with it. Didn't even know you were in the same town. It was the comment you made 22 years old, 1 year or experience, Felony in 2005 for passing bad checks Same comment he made.
Also your Avatar, it's 1 saved on his computer.
He was obsessed with becoming an O/A and leasing.
His dad has been driving from the age of 18, now yours
His siggy "Loaded Like A Box Car Drive It Like A Stock Car"
Your siggy "Loaded Like A Box Car Drive It Like A Stock Car"
Look, no big deal if your him, just don't know why you want to hide it if you are. He or you was caught in several lies. No big deal... just start over and be truthful.
I could be wrong, I can't see your IP, just going off some VERY similar comments. But I do find it odd you even know him so well, even know his user name.

Well first off I knwo his name due to it being his CD Handle. Second his father owns a construction company and has never drove truck. He was probley refering to my father. Second he has been known to lie about things such as experince and age due to the fact that he feels if he tells the correct info no one will trust him. I will have to admit he knows alot about trucks and is a very bright person. Third, You can trace my IP address if you want to. I live on the other side of town from him. Forth, I have known him a long time due to the town we live in has only 6000 people in it. 95% of which have lived here there who lives. I have been here for 18 years. Before that I lived in Iowa. But Slider64683 use to be my neghbor when I first moved here. Not to mention his father built my new house that I live in. Fifth, I am sorry you feel as if I am him due to knowing him and having the samethings. "Loaded like a boxcar drive it like a stock car" is a slogan my father has had on his sleep as long as i can remember. Which is most likely where he picked it up from. My avatar is from my favirote game "18 Wheels of Steel" which he likes also. Sorry but when you grow up with someone for so many years there are bound to be alot of things in common.

I understand. He has not only made a bad name for himself out there but my home business. He has made clients leave me just on his actions.
