Avatar ??? how to disable

Greetings and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I love this board .. it's a great resource that just keeps getting better.
I don't mean to be un-appreciative, but I need to disable the avatars as I'm on antique dial up service and this stuff loads really slow.

I'm not the geek on here but I think if you go to your profile at the top you can delete whatever avatar you have. You'll probably have to type in your password first and then just delete it.

I think in this case what's being asked is how to disable the viewing of other people's avatars. Usually its in your profile setting but I didn't see it here. Hopefully someone knows how.

yep that is what is being asked he wants to know how to disable all avatars so the page will load quicker

Yep, yep. I asking how to disable all the avatars and sigs... whatever...
I do like everyones pics... but it takes minutes sometimes to load big ones and stuff... soooo, anyone know how to disable avatars..???

well kitt i hope i'm not too late..........

open up the CAD main forum page and copy the url for CAD......http://www.classadrivers.com/phpBB2/index.php into your mouse, then

if you use firefox as your browser, left click on the tools menu and scroll down to options

click on the content icon

just to the right of the load images check box will be an exceptions box. click on that and paste the CAD url into the address bar, then click block. close out and then hit refresh on your navigation bar and all images from CAD will be gone. you'll still see some gifs like yoopr's weather sig, but for the most part they'll be gone.
