What happened? There are a huge group of posts missing; pretty much everything from today, and most of yesterday.

What gives?

yea i have had trouble logging in and when i do it was not showing post since sept. 17th, i also lost post from today.....site is acting up BAD :roll:

From what I've gathered so far, posts were lost all the way back to 09/27/06. Board burped, went down, came back up and we had everything back except for today. I alerted Jeff to what happened, but going by past experiences with messageboards, when something like that happens, it's usually due to a critical server failure and the board is brought back up using the most recent backup, which is usually no more than 24 hours old. So I doubt we'll get back what was posted today.

I guess we don't NEED a "Forum Announcement" subforum, since (although I'm sure they're busy right now,) they couldn't take the time to tell us what happened and what they are trying to do about it.

I put a Homer up last night ... But the good thing about all the lost post and Homer is I found the thread that tells how to make a quote look like everyone elses 8)
