    Default Peterbilt seats

The last company I drove for had all Mack trucks. The seat in that thing was so uncomfortable it was killing me. The first hour I drove it my back was so tensed up I couldn't turn my head to look in the right side mirror. Anyway, 6 weeks of that was enough.

In the past I've driven Freightliners, Internationals and Volvos. I didn't have any problems with those seats. However, the company I'm looking at now runs all Peterbilts.

So my question is, how do you like the seats in the Peterbilts? Are they OK? Are they backbreakers?

    Thanks.

It all depends on how the truck was specced. I've switched between 2 identical trucks at companies, but the seats were 100% different in the way they feel. They looked exactly the same, but apparantly not. Had one truck that the person in it before me must've been a pretty good sized fella - the seat back was bent and twisted. They had to get me a new seat after my 1st trip.

Bostrom makes the seats for Peterbilt. If you are driving a "Fleet Spec'ed" truck, probably it will be the standard Pete seat...which isn't that bad.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm guessing the Pete seat will be alright, however there's a dealership about 15 miles from the house, I think I'll drive up there tomorrow.

Malaki, the Mack seat wasn't broken down it was just horrible to sit on. When I turned the truck in to maintenance I asked if anyone else complained about the seats. The guy said "everyday".
