Okay, my mistake. I thought you were saying that you had mellowed so much and moved on to the point that you were even able to read my recent posts without feeling the need to attack a "libtard" or take a "Cain" to me. Hence... my mathematical (and fictional) equation.

I've never been one to hold grudges...life's too short. It is what it is...water off a duck's back...and all of those fatherly advice lines that my kids hate so much.

I left CAD because of two reasons - the smaller of the two was that I was simply getting burnt out on babysitting; had nothing to do with you as a person/poster or any other individual. I was just tired of having to be here doing what a mod does.

I never thought it DID.... even tho it WAS a month or so after you hung up your guns and had become just a "normal" poster. I also remember being featured prominantly in a few of your "farewell" posts. But, I could be imagining things again.

The larger reason for my leaving was...well, now you know what that was. Writing is enabling me to plan for a life for my family far beyond what I could do driving a desk. It's tough and takes a lot of work. The 4 weeks spent editing had me up until beyond midnight every night working on the manuscript, getting it right. Hell, I even gained 6 pounds during those 4 weeks because I sat on my butt all that time. But the door is open and I'm going to take that path as far as it will let me now and quite literally, the sky is the limit.

The "audacity of HOPE" ... what a concept!

But back to CAD? I stop in now and then because I've been a member here for 9 years, a mod for 7+ of those. I've cultivated some friendships with some online personaes that can only be found here...and yes, that includes you, if you can believe it.

But the point is... I always had more fun as a poster when I could be creative and make people laugh.

When I was just making people cry because my political arguments were so spot-on and frustratingly impossible to refute, it wasn’t nearly as much fun.

In the end, though, it ain’t about holding grudges. Sure, people piss me off and I destroy them as I destroyed you so many times.

So coming full circle? It wasn’t a negative implication…it was a ‘meh, it was what is was’ statement and that stuff is long past.

Re-read my post. I never SAID it was a negative implication. That shows a predisposition on your part. I said I hadn't "missed" the (positive) implication of your post as it appeared to offer an olive branch... because you specifically mentioned me...and that is the reason that I felt free to "engage" you in this discussion. A similar (and equally elusive) "portal" seems to have opened between me and Roadhog.

I use that ‘water off a duck’s back’ line because I have a bunch of kids that are majoring in drama. As a matter of fact, I actually put it in the book for the sake of my kids.
