The truck was carrying windmill equipment.
The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department responded to an accident that closed the northbound lane of Interstate 79 Monday around 2:30 p.m. The accident occurred at mile marker 144 between the *****etts Fort and Goshen Road exits.
Officials said a tractor trailer was carrying windmill equipment when a pin came loose on the hitch of the truck. The trailer started to separate from the truck before it came to a stop on the shoulder of the road.
The windmill equipment was partially off of the trailer, obstructing the roadway.
The trailer turned over on its side but didn't separate from the truck.
    No one was injured.
Officials said the road would reopen this evening when the roadway has been cleared.
Traffic is being re-routed onto Rt. 73 North.
