The interview showed me a perspective, why this collaboration works so naturally.

The end of the world, eh? Tell you what... I'll fill you in on the beginning if you fill me in on the end...

I've developed a strong interest in Archaeology and Anthropology, but I think I could develop an interest in your book as well. Just the name sounds interesting. Oh, and you're right.... I do not do FB. I've modified "parental controls" so that my computer will not go there. No one can get to FB on my computer.

I had a book about half written, then the information got updated with new discoveries and I had to change so many things, I decided to start over. You're lucky. Things won't change in yours until the end comes. Every time I think I've got some solid answers, the origin of man gets pushed back further.

Well, I know that I'll end up becoming well-traveled next year, as we hit the road for signings. In time, I want to be able to do this full time and if the script gets picked up, well...

I know what you mean about updates. We had to do a 10 year technology jump during our first round of editing. One of the comments back from our publisher -- "doesn't anyone have a smartphone?!?"

For nearly a hundred years (I think) the "Clovis" people were the oldest culture in America. Then, last year, someone found a "pre-Clovis" civilization below the remains of the Clovis in Holly Hill, VA. It pushes the origin of human habitation in the Americas back another century. If I were writing something about that, I would have to go back and re-write because the base of knowledge has changed.

If you've been going at this for the last ten years, I can imagine the re-writing you've been doing.

Actually, you're the guy that is complaining to one of the main characters how he used to be a truck driver, but abandoned his truck in New Mexico and now he can't get a job because they put it on his DAC.

No kidding...it's in there. Write what you know, right? LOL!

Right now, we're in the middle of the 2nd round of editing. This round is easier than the last one and we should have it wrapped up this weekend. Then it's off to the book builder to set type and font and 4 to 6 weeks later, we get a PDF version of what the final book will look like. Then there will another week of just running through and making sure all the t's are crossed and i's are dotted, then it goes into pre-sale. Actual release is still due for March 30th or early April.

We have our ISBN numbers, too, so Hade's Gambit is listed now in hardback, paperback, and e-book form. 2012 is going to be huge.

Can't bloody wait!!
