Because that's obviously not a solution to the problem. If it were, tailgating would be a thing of the past.

heh, I'll admit if you are going slower than the traffic in your lane, and you can move over to the right you should, but riding someones butt to get them over isn't a safe alternative. If they freak out they might do something diferent them what they should, imagine if they slam on their breaks, or swerve into the grass or over to the right lane when there is a car there. I don't think those truck drivers would be very happy with themselves then. Well, they might attempt to make themselves feel justified by saying, if the weren't in the left lane that wouldn't have happened.

That would take a while to read (especially for the folks who can't read), but boy would I love to see that sign.

heh, that would be cool, but do remember, the 4 wheelers might again freak out. might take thier eyes off the road for 5 sec and wreak, probably the reason they haven't done it, lol.

Heh, I guess they do but lets just say I don't plan on keeping you busy with traffic acedents, maybe a heart attack when a pair of nice legs goes by or something like that

When I started driving (NY state) I was taught that passing on the right was illegal. When cars drive slow in the middle lane and trucks aren't allowed in the left lane I'm forced to pass on the right. It ticks me off in a major way and I hate it!!!

anonymous should hack ATT and send a mass text to all iphones: 'Move over!' that may remind the driver that they are in a car and not in their livingroom. Besides they are looking at the phone 99% of the time, so it would get noticed unlike a road sign :P No, seriously- the answer is better driver education, standardized laws so wherever we go we know what the rule is.

Well, they could do it like the old Burma Shave or Barbasol signs.... short blurbs every 10th of a mile. No... that wouldn't work... they'd only get bits and pieces inbetween TEXTS!

Solution: no 4 wheelers allowed in the LEFT lane. That should be for big trucks only, seeing how most trucks are driving many miles though the state, unlike alot of the 4 wheelers who are going to take an exit within 20 miles of getting on the highway.

Will not work during rush hour or lunch hour in Arkansas at least not around the Little Rock area because of the many left exits and left branches of the highways and the inability to get over during those hours UNLESS you get over at least 20 miles ahead of time.

the 2 drivers in question are total A-HOLES and have no business driving a truck, in either case if the 4-wheeler had slammed on the brakes, the driver would more than likely be dead, also the Reagents truck would have probably hit me after he hit the 4 wheeler, he had haz-mat, so the interstate would have been closed for awhile, when the cop got there, I would show him the video form my dash-cam which clearly shows he moved up on the car, it didnt cut in front of him or slow down or do anything wrong, driving the speed limit in the middle lane is not illegal. after reviewing the video, most likely the cop would take the driver to jail and he would face manslaughter charges, a 4wheeler driver is dead and the truck drivers life is pretty much screwed forever, now, tell me again why the truck driver is not wrong
and yes, I WOULD give the video to the cops in a second, you risk my life and others lives, you deserve what you get

I've never understood the behavior of timing when the person in front is going to move to the right lane. People will actually start to accelerate before the lane change even occurs. This closes the gap quickly and is basically a gamble.
