I do work with a good mix of people and technology, but I can definitely get sick of program clitches and errors.

Since you brought it up, what exactly do you do? Do you have a background in trucking, IT or customer service?

Can I take a quick peak at your credentials or your resume?

No reason, just curious. We used to have a 20 questions thread, I'll start one about you if you want? That might get people posting. (Though if my memory serves me right, some of those threads didn't end well.)

Anybody that lurks and would like to post might try the music thread. Post your favorite tune and allow thousands and thousands of people to laugh at you and tell you that you have no taste. In all seriousness, I like almost all music. Actually I do like all music because rap is not music.

(So I look for a middle finger emoticon because hey it's required here (in a light hearted way) and there is none. How can a trucker's forum be so unbelievably pussified?)

Hey Clee you are right no worries, It was a political satire joke.

I just got back from a weeks vacation in the Smokey Mountains and was laughing out loud to see I was given a "Friendly Warning"

Get over if Mr Ford.. If you are truly wanting to inforce the board rules as to where one may post then you really need to get your Super Duper Moderator shoes on and troll every forum as I know for a fact I can find at least 20+ post that do not fit into any one specfic thread, you know that as well as I do, so if you are going to talk the talk then make sure you walk the walk. However once again with a title of "Anything AND Everything", I will post any type of response there that I feel is warrented, they will not be insulting remarks to any of our distinguished members norwill they be pornogrphic nature, they will be just what they are one of my off handed remarks that have much to do about nothing.. While this board was once something I looked at as a serious place to enjoy some down time and help others while having a little fun, has now really just become a place to see how other ppl take themselves to seriously and actualy think that giving out a warning for posting in a forum titled anything and everything will make another person think twice.. As I tell my kids if you have to hide something you should not be doing it, since the great leaders of this forum feel it is right to hide the political forum to non members so they wont see the real side of this board, I will just continue to wear my man panties and be the blacksheep, I kind of enjoy this side of the fence as it gives me an opportunity to play a different role in my life from my usual daily stance of our world..
In closing Mr Ford i have no problem with you what so ever as we are both "Ford" Fanatics so you must have some decent personality traits, however I am sorry but as long as the thread is titled "Anything and Everything" I will post anything and everything there.. Have a wonderful week and be safe...

Sharlie, I help manage online communities for a number of the websites that IB owns. In addition to the truckers, I manage online communities of policemen, pilots, work-at-home moms, and a few others. I have no background in any of these professions except as a beneficiary of their everyday service.

My credentials are pretty pedestrian, and since I manage a huge number of users (combined, my communities have hundreds of thousands of members), I like to protect my online anonymity. There are some real crazies out there. The truckers here are very sane compared to some of the other populations I work with.

That said, I'm just a guy who comes in five days a week and tries to make sure that his communities run smoothly. In some ways, I'm kind of like a dispatcher, though I understand that those folks are sometimes not so bright :P

I'm still thinking your background is in IT but I'm sure management is key to smooth sailing. I hate management, not you personally, but the profession. I'm not cut out for babysitting, especially adults.

    Thanks for humoring my curiosity.

No problem, Sharlie. Babysitting adults, cat herding, whatever you want to call it - it's definitely interesting. I have so much more respect for mayors of cities now.

Thanks for sharing your quick wit around the boards - it's much appreciated.
