I spent almost the entire day (from noon on) sitting at the service plaza on 24 just north of 495.

My wife and I ate at the Burger King there. I had their chicken sandwich and she had the fish. I finished my sandwich and she had about 1/2 of hers, so I finished hers as well.

The question is: should the fish and chicken taste EXACTLY the same?

Got here with nothing more than a few small hiccups:

The exit to Prospect (rt 27) off of I-278 was closed, so had to detour to the next exit, then drive surface streets. After that, you can't make a left onto Flatlands off of Flatbush, but that was nothing major either.

Sitting in front of the building now waiting for them to open up in 3 more hours. They'll have to street load me since there's no way in hell a 53' trailer (without the tractor) could back into their building.

Tell ya what, this sucks. I grew up in a town of less than 500 people. The largest city in my area would be Morgantown or Clarksburg, WV, and combined, they may have 30,000 people in it.

The only turn that was "rough" was the one for the detour after the closing. Had to turn between 2 bridge pilings. I just took the entire road and did what I needed to.

On the drive in, I think she was more nervous than me. As soon as we parked, she jumped into the sleeper and pulled the curtains closed so she wouldn't see what's outside the windows. Those curtains haven't been closed in about 9 months.

And that, my friend, pretty much sums up what I think about being a "paid tourist" to drive one of these things. Sure, you got to travel... To some place so scary your wife had to go hide out in the bunk and pull the curtains to try to keep from freaking out.

Running local is boring, but much less eventful.
