    Default Tornado's LIVE!

Don't know if anybody is on here at this minute,(Tues afternoon/eve), but here is some live tornado coverage. Might be short lived but should go through this evening anyway. Thought it might be interesting for folks who don't see this kind of thing much to see tornado's live and ride along with a storm chaser.

This season is CRAZY! Never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad to be on I-95 in Connecticut right now.

Best of luck robertt. Post as soon as you can.

Everything is OK. The Nader lifted before it got into Moore. We were at the neighbors with the cellar. A cellar is kind of like a swimming pool, you don't realize how many friends you have until they want, or need you. We had debris, insulation, leaves etc., falling out of the sky. You could see it go over, lots of hail. Lot's of people around us weren't so lucky. A pretty exciting afternoon. Thanks for the well wishes.

I was headed west on 412 at 3:45 or so, and the guys coming east said the storms were in Enid with hail and wall clouds. I got off at the exit to my farm sheds and parked my load of corn. Drove on home in the spare pickup. The sky was really dark and the wind got up, but all we got was 1/4 inch of rain. Didn't really wanna be at the mill with severe weather around, that place could fall over on a sunny day.

OKC has been tornado central for the last few years, I Really do feel for the folks in Goldsby.

Yeah, Goldsby was crazy, they are about 10 miles south of me. I was watching it live from the channel 4 helicopter and it was huge. It's amazing the power these things have. You get your fair share of nasty weather up your way.

Their were a couple of people killed in El Reno, 2 kids missing in Piedmont, and 1 kid missing in Edmond. That is all I have heard about so far.

Whether you believe me or not, I was real concerned for you and your family today robertt. Glad to hear you are okay. I just recently heard that the nado kinda broke down (or whatever) just before reaching Moore. I also heard Norman mentioned. Isn't there someone on here from Norman?

The folks that live in the area crossed my mind more than once. But, I'm also thinking of the truck stops in the area, and the guys that are trying to take a 10-hour break. I've sat straight up in the bunk because the truck felt like it was rolling down a mountainside. And, having the truck doing the "Texas-two-step" is one thing. Scenes like the Petro is something I've known were possible, and I sure am glad I never was in one of them. But, I have had tarps shredded off the loads in IA, NE, and IN. It's an interesting "wake-up" call in the middle of your break.

On my drive up I-81 the other day, I came through the area where the Petro got hit. That entire area is devastated. I didn't get a good look at the truckstop itself, but did notice that the garage had no roof on it.

Just watched video of a truck that was sitting idle on the side of a highway near Shawnee, OK. Driver was ok but man he was lucky to live. He pulled off to ride it out supposedly and the twister ended up giving him a direct strike as it obliterated the trailer he was pulling.

I wonder if that Timpte trailer in the above pictures was a 102 inch. If so, I could use those tarp bows... I pulled a bonehead and didn't let the tension off of my tarp while unloading in the rain last week, suction just sucked the back 3 down flat.

Getting completely out of farming (thank God) and will have an ugly tax year, so I might just "need" a new trailer by the end of this year.

Has anyone heard if they found the 3 year old boy? I am not a very soft hearted person, but that about made me wanna cry..

They found him this afternoon, (Thurs), in the lake by the house. They interviewed his father and it was more than I could take, having a 5yr old, and the people standing around him were having a time of it also. They lost the 3yr old boy, their 15month old boy, and the little girl is in bad shape in the hospital. The mother is pregnant with another girl, which I hadn't heard before. May GOD be with them.
