Default Anyone else having log-in problems with this forum?

For the past 3 days, every time I try to log on to the forum, I have to do it multiple times. What's going on? Does anybody else have trouble signing on here?

I haven't been having any problems. Perhaps you have a weak signal where you have been trying to log in?

A problem I am having is this.

So I'm reading a thread and decide to offer my 2 cents. I log in and click on "reply" or "reply with quote" and type in my reply. And then when I click the "Post Quick Reply" button, all the text I typed in is gone and I'll looking at a blank entry form.

Edit: It didn't do it while posting this reply though. I'll try and narrow down when and maybe why it happens.

Yes, sometimes I have a weak signal, sometimes none at all. TA in Sweet Water TX was one big dead zone! I couldn't even get online that night. I even took my laptop inside the truck stop and it still didn't work!

I've diagnosed your problem. Your opinions are far too expensive for this board.

From now on... please insert a "plug nickel."

If YOU don't give a plug nickel, why should you get to see what you posted?

Don't know if this applies to MichiganDriver.... but, it might to you. Sounds like you (at least) and many here, are logging in by WiFI, aircard, etc.

Everyone should read the full article: Space weather could wreak havoc in gadget-driven world - Yahoo! News

    Just a few excerpts:

by Kerry Sheridan – Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:49 pm ET

WASHINGTON (AFP) – A geomagnetic space storm sparked by a solar eruption like the one that flared toward Earth Tuesday is bound to strike again and could wreak havoc across the gadget-happy modern world, experts say.

Contemporary society is increasingly vulnerable to space weather because of our dependence on satellite systems for synchronizing computers, navigational systems, telecommunications networks and other electronic devices.....

On Tuesday at 0156 GMT, a huge solar eruption, the strongest in about five years, sent a torrent of charged plasma particles hurtling toward the Earth at a speed of 560 miles (900 kilometers) per second.

The force of the Class X flash, the most powerful of all solar events, lit up auroras and disrupted some radio communications, but the effects were largely confined to the northern latitudes.

"Actually it turned out that we were well protected this time. The magnetic fields were aligned parallel so not much happened," said Luntama.

"In another case things might have been different."

You funny They wouldn't dare censer me! I'd pout and it would get ugly in a hurry.

I think I found the source of my trouble and as usual it was me. After typing in my reply I was clicking the blue link on the left that said "Post Reply". Bad move. I'm now clicking the link on the right that says "Post Quick Reply" and it's working much better.

What I'm seeing is I come in here and I always start off at the login page. If I log in, it says "thank you for logging in" and I come right back to the login page, like my login didn't take.

From there, I just navigate somewhere else (like this forum) and after that it shows that I am, in fact, logged in. It seems to be a minor glitch, and it has been going on for quite awhile, but it's easy enough to work around.

Most of the time I enter my screen name and password and it takes me to another page where it states that my password is invalid, so I have to re-type my screen name and password. This happens on average of 2 out of 3 times.

    ....................................

I hadn't had any problems looging on. I keep myself logged in, so when I open the page, wallah.. I'm logged on.
There for a while, I think the website had a clitch or something. I think it's been fixed, since.
Like roadhog said, sometimes the site seems slow, but it could be mine too.
