Default Now why would they do that

Last night I pulled into the Love's on 81 xt3 in NY and fueled, pulled up and walking in I passed a US Xpress bob tail sitting at the pump idling with driver in it. Went in took care of paper work, used mens room , got some food. As iI walked out the bobtails still sitting @ pump not fueling but with 2 people in it EATING that's it just EATING. Then as I kept walking past the rest of the pumps in pulls a O/O pulling a reefer almost runs me down as he pulls almost thru the pumps in high range, slams on the brakes jumps out and goes inside. Problem was he left the trl blocking that pump.
What a bunch of azzhats. And some complain about newbies!

What can you do? You park your own truck and take care of business and that's about it.

Today, I was at the Pilot in Van Horn, TX. I don't exactly scrutinize everyone I see but, for whatever reason, some people stick in my mind. I went in to order from Wendy's. I recalled that I had seen the guy in line ahead of me out on the fuel island. He stood to one side to wait for his order and I stood to the other side. My food came, bagged to go (I was parked in a parking space, mind you) and his food came on a tray to eat inside. I thought nothing of it until I got outside and encountered a truck backing off a Stevens truck parked at the pay line. Only then did it dawn on me, the guy eating inside is the Stevens driver! Are you familiar with the entrance to that Pilot? Just about the last fuel island you'd want to back out of.

You have to admit, it's as much Pilot's fault as anyone else's. Most drivers seem to get the pull forward part; I guess the time limit on the pay line is more arbitrary, so long as you're spending money with the host. I left it to the care of anyone who might have been directly affected. I wasn't going to let the turd ruin my lunch, too.

It's not just truckers who do it. I had an old GF complaining the other day about some dork 4 wheelers who did it at a gas station. Both were sitting inside jaw-jacking and eating subs while blocking both pumps. Seems that it's becoming the way of society now.

It's a continuation of "This space my car is occupying is all mine and you can't make me move until I am ready to!" I've had to go up to someone sitting in their cab in front of me and ask them "Do you need me to teach you how to back up in a parking space here?" It gives them an idea of maybe they don't want to mess with this big guy (me) with an attitude.
