    Default Scale Models

Everyone has seen the replica cars/pickups that they sell in the truckstops, mainly at Love's. You know, the really cool metal cars. Anyway, I started buying one for my grandson each trip out. He's 9 years old and loves them, especially the older cars (but he won't turn down a rice-burner).

Anyway, I'm trying to find a 1/24th scale tractor trailer for him. That's the same scale as the car/pickup replicas. The ones that are sold in the truckstops are all 1/32nd scale. Has anyone seen any 1/24th scale trucks out there? I'd really like to find either a flatbed, or better yet, a car hauler. I'm building him a set of shelves on my next hometime for him to display them on, and a truck would just be the perfect addition to the collection.

you can go into swift's home terminal in phoenix, find the driver's lounge/cafeteria, and there'll be a small store where the flat screen tv is. it has some scaled out SWIFT trucks.

( I think that's enough of the personal jabs at other members here )

Do you have an Atwoods in your neck of the woods? Atwoods, which is a farm supply store carries trucks/trailers in 1/24 scale.
I've also seen 1/24 scale trucks in our Love's here, but not a big selection. I'm sure you'll find something for the boy. Something will come up. Seems like they sell them as soon as they put them on the shelf.

Never seen an Atwoods before. I pulled up their website, but the only thing it really shows are the locations and weekly store flyer. I might try Tractor Supply. Maybe they'll have something.
