John Murtha is gone

It's on all the network news feeds.

Writing was on the wall last week after the reports surfaced of him being in the hospital. I won't touch on the things he did that will likely make his death much less a tragedy than any death should, especially for a lot of Marines.

But it's another long held democratic position suddenly vacated...36 years as a democratic congressman and yet another guy that adds volatile fuel to the discussion that there absolutely should be strictly enforced term limits for all congressmen and senators.

Hey at least they can Rename his Airport he built in his District the John Murtha Memorial International Airport. Maybe we can get lucky they will ship him back as Cargo on one of the flights into there.

Representatives wise, looks like PA is about evenly split. Hard to tell what will happen, and if a Republican get the seat if it was due to Obama or not. Be interesting to watch.

Seriously, I did read somewhere that Murtha’s demise shorts the house the one crucial vote needed to pass the house versions of the socialist agenda that current dictator-in-chief is trying to ram down our throats. Can’t be certain, but if so, that effectively eliminates the super-majority the anti-American crew had in both the house and the senate. I guess there’s something to be said for God still watching over this country or karma, depending on what one believes in, eh?

But the bigger question is...will it be enough?

From what I've heard, Penn State Gov has 10 days to schedule a special election to replace POS Murtha, and the date of the special election has to be at least 60 days later. Whoever wins the seat in the special election, will fill out the remainder of POS Murtha's term, which ends at the end of this year. That person can retain the seat, if they also win in the general election in November.

I bet one dolla, that it goes to a republican. * (can you hear that??? That is the sound of the winds of change!)

Of course, the anti-American crew in charge might see if they can circumvent the natural process. They lost their super majority in the senate…losing it in the house just won’t do. It will be rather interesting to see what comes of this.

I wonder how soon it will be before the accusations of murder start ringing out. He did die because his intestines were damaged during routine gallbladder surgery. I heard at least one liberal over lunch talking about it being the Republican way of getting back into power and they needed to get to the bottom of his surgeon’s political leaning. Lets see here 77 Year old man goes in for Gall bladder Surgery. If done Lapro which most are there is a CHANCE that your intestines even in a routine which this procedure is can be damaged. I had my Gallbladder out in 2000 and on the conset for the surgery I signed it stated possible complications are Intestianal damge Clip failure causing Bile leakage and IIRC Intesinal Puncture from when they insert the camera into the belly. Now if that happened SO sorry your Screwed. He was a Overwieght senior Citizen and things like this happen. He signed the consent that it could happen he knew the risks. He should have picked a Better Hospital. Rememeber he had a different hospital do the Surgery and when they screwed up went to the best one in the nation to try and save his worthless hide.

Well, if he had the dictator’s health insurance plan, he would have probably just had counseling on how to go somewhere and die without being a burden. Oh wait…he is…er, was, a government employee. He would have been exempt. Never mind.

Murtha was a decorated soldier in Viet Nam and the first Viet Nam vet to become a congressman.

However, somewhere along the line, he forgot what it was like to be a Marine and became a Washington sack of crap. He's done more to p!ss on the Marines and armed forces than most other liberal wackjobs could pretend to imagine. He long ago used up what goodwill he had earned for being a crack soldier in a tough war and became a soldier hating scumbag.

He'll be missed only a touch more than drunk Ted Kennedy. Nazi Pelosi must be beside herself as she keeps losing her most ardent fans.

Dying in office or dropping out of reelection is just not good enough for me.
