WEST UNION -- Capitol Police have charged a Marion County man with making threats against the governor. Officers charged Jason Clay Anderson, 20, of Farmington, with threatening to commit a terrorist act.
Anderson wrote a letter to Gov. Joe Manchin asking the governor to grant a pardon for him, according to his criminal complaint.
In the letter, Anderson threatened to have someone shoot Manchin in the head if his pardon were not granted, the complaint says.
He also threatened to rape Manchin’s wife, daughter, and family dog, states the complaint.
Anderson also threatened to put a hit out on President Barack Obama, according to the complaint.
Anderson is currently in the North Central Regional Jail, awaiting trial on charges that he killed his 11-month-old child.
A Marion County grand jury indicted him for murder in October 2007.
He will have a preliminary hearing later this week.
