Happy New Year to Everyone! I wish all a prosperous and safe new year.

It is a good time to remember our service men and women who are unable to be with their families during this holiday season.

Happy New Year to all!!!! I got all the fix'ens for a good southern New Year. Ham hocks, collards, blackeyed peas, baked sweet taters, a big cake of cornbread, and a big pot of fresh brewed sweet tea to wash it all down.
Find something you like to do, be the best at it you can be, the money will come.

My mom has always made her chicken fried steak, smashed potatoes on New Year's. Also, black eyed peas. Cornbread. Coleslaw, and some kind of greens. Turnip greens, or brussel sprouts or green beans.

When my grandparents were living, they made home made cornbread, and also had home made biscuits.
