Default Local truck wreck - driver dies

UPDATE: One Dead in Taylor County Accident - WBOY-TV - WBOY.com

The photo's are chilling... I talk to the drivers that work for the company whose truck wrecked all the time. They pick up the same location that we deliver.

The one thing that has really surprised me have been the comments at the bottom of the page. Normally, if there's a truck involved in a wreck and it's carried on our local news, people jump all over truck drivers, saying how bad of drivers we are. Not this one. There's not a single comment against the driver.

Any idea what happened? Tire go down or too fast for the turn? Wonder the driver of the Jeep wasn't killed also.

From the comments & knowing where the wreck occurred, it sounded like he hit ice and lost control. It looked like the truck was empty at the time of the wreck, but I could be wrong there.

That road is *HORRIBLE* to drive - 15mph turns, very steep grades, etc. Plus, it's in a sheltered valley, so the sun never hits it to melt anything that could be there.

I do know that Nuzum (the company he drove for) is VERY strict with their drivers before they'll even consider hiring you. I called them a few years ago and they wanted 5 years of tri or quad axle dump driving experience before they'd even talk to me. Plus, their drivers have said that the slightest problem (ticket/accident/etc) and you're shown the door.
