Hello to everyone! I just joined the message board. My home is Florida and I have many trucker friends out there, especially my good friend Paula. She recently told me we have a mutual friend with Merit out of TX, David Laws. Dave and I worked in Security while he was living in FL, and I'd love to hear from him. It's been about 5 years since he moved away. Drive smart and keep us all safe on the road! Love you guys and gals behind the wheel! ~Claudia

:moose: You have a Moose .gif One of my favorites

Self introduction is not something I have ever been good at. I suffer from post traumatic stress disorder caused by the cruelty of my gradeschool teachers who refused to allow me to stand at my desk during show-n-tell. ... Nah not really but it was the best excuse for a lame introduction I could think of.

I am glad to be here as I think this web site is the most excellent I've seen. I look forward to getting to know everyone within the limits of these message boards and to show my support of this site.

hello everyone,my name is Theresa;I'm a newbie not only to this site but to the trucking industry. After 17 yrs of being in a marriage that was going nowhere I finally decided to go HOME(Navarre,Fl.)Well the saying is true;you can never go home again you can go back but it will never seem like home!!After researching my options and being the free soul that I am I decided to go to school to become a truckdriver.I am currently waiting to go drive for USA I leave next week the 10th,and I must say I'm very excited and can't wait to get out there seeing the country and meeting people.
For those interested I'm 46,have 3 kids 29,26 and my baby 16,who lives with his father. And finally for once in my life I'm doing what I want just for me.It might seem selfish but I'm sure theres a few Moms out there who know what I'm saying!!!!!

Well thats about it ;by the way I really enjoy this web site very interesting, informative and FUN.....!

I finally found someone who cared enough to Marry Me, and now I have a 11 yr old (step Son who is Handicapped) and a Red Hair Blue Eyed Daughter of 5, and another on the way at the end of May.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I need a Company who is willing to take a Chance on a Honest Hard Working Man that just what's to take care of his Family. My work History is Lousy, but that's because it took me so long to get my Head straight. But now I'm Willing and Able to take care of Business and need some Serious HELP. [color=#FF8040ost_uid0]Hey ALL !!
I am a single 43 year old male who has been divorced 3x, and have 2 boys, 1 - 20 yrs old in Illinois going to a community college for law enforcement training and working at Walmart, the other is 6 yrs old and in kindergarten in Indiana. I get to see him whenever I want too or am available.
I am getting ready to start training with Schneider National and hope it will go. I started in a steel factory in Illinois in 1979 a year after high school and continued until landing a job at a casino in 1992 which took me to Mississippi, Missouri, and landed in Indiana. After 10 1/2 years at that I am now ready to venture into the trucking indusrty as an OTR driver.
I used to talk to the truckers back in the 70s in a small town of Industry, Illinois and remember times of truckers being stuck in a snowstorm stranded, so I would pass their time talking on the CB radio until we could get a snowmobile out to take them to a safe place. Ever since then I have always been intrigued by "The Trucker".
Well that is a about all the crap I can think of for now so I hope to see and chat with you all out on the boulevard sometime. "Smokin Joe" is my handle. I will be in the Big Orange Stubnose. :buttrock:[/colorost_uid0]
