Question for anyone that lives in AZ

So, while I fiddle around with an interim career while waiting to be able to drive for a big company again, I've seriously been looking into getting into an EMT-to-Paramedic program.
Not that much school(or hard math) involved and it seems to pay just as well as what I was making while driving(I don't live on much). Anywho, I was curious if anyone knew whether or not Arizona MVD requires an ambulance driver certificate in order to be employed as an EMT-B, or EMT-P. As many may or may not know, California requires anyone driving an ambulance for a private company(American Medical Response,. etc) to have an "ambulance driver certificate". This would mean that I not only have to get my EMT certification, but I would also have to go to our DMV, take the test for this and also retake all the tests for the endorsements which I already have. To me, this is just the states added hassle of trying to shuffle into a different career(this in addition to having to be an EMT-B for at least 6-12 months before they even let you into the EMT-P program). Ultimately, I was just looking into Arizona or some other nearby state where I could go to school for this and also keep my CDL intact for future use(not having to add anything else/take any additional tests for it). And if I do move, not coming back here.

Oh, and I have checked everything on Arizona's "MVD" website and found nothing about needing an ambulance driver certificate.
Just wanting to double check to make sure I didn't miss anything. |
