I KNOW he invented the Internet(s).... but, are you SURE he was the first to warn against global warming? And what difference would it make if it were man-made or natural.... if it threatened society? Let's say YOU are right, and we are actually "cooling." So.... is an early Ice Age any more preferable than another Dust Bowl?

Who said anything about it being a Democrat? Ah, Hobo as usual taking everything someone says as a political shot at the Dems even though it may have been about a recipe for baking cookies.

It won't even be our grandchildren who have to worry about Global Warming/Cooling Hobo. It's moving slower than that, it takes a few hundred years AND it's not as extreme as some have led us to believe. A couple of degrees is not extreme.

Actually, the earth really is getting warmer. Since the early 70s, it's gone up about 3/4 of a degree. But, it seems to have very little to do with CO2. One of the satellites that's been circling the earth has the specific job of measuring the heat of the sun. Over the last 30 to 40 years, the sun has been sending more heat our way, so the earth has been warming. But, will reducing CO2 emissions have any effect? Most likely not.

My, my... You're having a "heat wave". I remember a trip I made up there. Mine and one other truck were the only ones running in that area. And, the other guy had 3 pair of wool socks pulled over his fuel filter, covered with a plastic bag. The white vapor that was the exhaust came down behind the truck and acted like heavy fog that stayed there for a few minutes. You couldn't get within a quarter mile of the truck in front of you and still see the road. There were a lot of trucks that were pulled over and frozen up.

Eastern Europe is in an Ice Age, -26C or -15F and snow up the wazzu daily. The cold alone has killed a lot of people, homeless mainly. It has gotten so bad that the Romanian Govt has ordered all hospitals that have taken in homeless people for treatment to not release them even if they are healthy. They ordered them to rack'em, stack'em and pack'em.
