Default Any hip hop heads here?

What hip hop are you liking these days? I am going back to some of Outkasts older stuff and some Murs and Count Bass D.

What about you? What are you listening to these days?

underground is where the real jewels are. atmosphere, unknown prophets, blue scholars, (old, pre-fat out of shape slob paz) jedi mind tricks, immortal technique. when it comes to commercial hip-hop, i'll listen to the stuff ranging from 1982-1995. the only exception i'll make is outkast. they can do no wrong. "player's ball" is my favorite song by them. it's amazing how young big boi looks in their first music video/single.

Rick Ross, Plies, a lot of the stuff coming out of Miami, the south beach guys, are setting a new type standard I think. If i recall I think that's where Lil Wayne and Young Money are now since Katrina came through New Orleans. Plies has a new song "Becky", I like to call the wife and tell her to be ready to give me that Becky when i get home, if you don't know the meaning behind Becky listen to the song, won't take long to figure it out. Just my 2 cents, I like the old Nappy Roots and Cash Money Millionaire stuff too, just don't here it much anymore.

I'd definitely consider myself hip hop.

I like new rap, but mainly for it's comedic value. Gold chains, rims, cell phones, etc... comedy.

One of my favorite channels on XM is 65. Ice T always sent a strong message in his beats, as well as a lot of the old school guys.

My favorite song of the week is by Lupe Fiasco, "Kick Push" (I think is the title). Also "Mathematics" by Mos Def. I'd say 50% of Queen Latifah's spit also sent a strong message to the urban community.

Thanks to Teal95KW I recently discovered the SouthPark Mexican as well from the great state of Texas.

I still bump my Master P and Ghetto D collection from time to time though. Gotta love it

Anything pre-2000's, or with a good, flowing beat to roll along with.

This Autotune-infused trash needs to be burned and buried, why anyone likes it is beyond me.
