well i'll say this... gm cant build a diesel.. we had a 6.5 td. ran well for what it was towed ok but once you put a hill infront of it.. smoke central!

i've also heard that in 2011 that dodge is loosing cummins. they'll be putting a benz motor in it. so as far as i'm concerned just ford and chevy for the diesels.

Just to update you I think Im officialy a convert LOL!

I love this truck and I want to trade my GMC for a new Super Duty. I even went and looked at them yesterday. But my truck is only a couple years old and it would be stupid to trade this early. In another year or two I hope to get one of the redesigned ones. Who'd a thunk it?

    Mackman,
I'm still fixing up my Sahara.
Still haven't gone to Moab, but not giving up on that dream.
'99 Sahara, has Rubicon suspension, and a 2" lift.
In the photo are Goodyear MT/R 245x75-16 on Moab wheels.
The off-road set are big fat Goodyear MT/R 33's.

Always fun seeing these YouTube videos.

I have an F-250SD Diesel I use on the Farm.

I just noticed that CAT sticker on the windshield on Mackman's pickup.
I see guys all the time, that have CAT mud flaps on Ford and Dodge pickups.
    I'm sorry, I just think that's funny.

Roadhog. Love the jeep. You need to get a nice warn winch in that winch bumper. I almost bought a jeep about 3 months ago to put a small snowplow on and just use it for driveways.

Snowman stop wasting time and un-load the GM junk and get the ford.

I got a plow for my truck this year. I plow township roads with my uncle at 80/hr. With all the snow we got i made around 6,000 so far. But that just paid the plow off. So now i will start to make a profit. The pics are from the 28.5in snow storm we got and 3 days later we got another 21in.

Here is a couple dumb videos i made.

Keep track of numbers diligently (fuel, maintenance, insurance etc) so you can decide if you want to stick with it. It will destroy your truck. Coat your oil pan with something rust resistant now or it will rust through eventually.

Go ahead, ask me how I know all this.

Start saving for a new truck.

You know I've been thinking lately about selling both my 2003 and 2006 and then going old school. I recently saw a 1975 Ford F250 hiboy for sale, totally restored. No computers just good old fashioned horse power. My wife wants a 57 Cheby.

I still think my truck is going to last a long time. Cuz i will be steaming it after every use and the bottom of the truck has a good coating of Fluid FilmŪ | Corrosion Preventative, Lubricant and Rust Inhibitor.

Man you like your old school stuff dont you. High Boys and 359s go hand and hand LOL.

I think it all ties in with my mid life crisis. wanting the trucks I saw as a kid.

Seriously, good luck with the plowing, I wasn't able to plow this year (figures) but I might be back out next year. I love it, I do commercial lots. Once I know where the rough spots are, I crank the radio up and roll through it.

It has taken it's toll on my truck. That undercoating is going to help you though.
