Default Yesterday was a great day

Perfect weather. 75 and sunny. My out of town brother was in so My dad, son-in-law, both my brothers and my nephew got together at my house. We broke out a couple shotguns and the clay thrower and had a great time. It was awesome watching my father busting clays at 72 years old. The look on his face was priceless. He was 30 years younger. After dark we sat around a campfire and shot the bull. I guess you could call it one of those so called male bonding days. All I know is my dad really enjoyed himself and I'll remember this day forever. I know its a dorky post but I wanted to share it anyway!

That is a perfect way to spend the day. Wish I could have more of days like that.

Isn't that what we always called "puusy whipped" [sic] LOL

Going back to what I did for most of my life..working as a government contractor for those '3 letter acronym' agencies.
(unless of course, a few select Canadians named Hugh and Alex need to be schooled......I can always make an exception)

Gonna keep the CDL . The Fire Chief up there has already expressed an appreciation if I would hold on to the CDL with the endorsements so that I can move some emergency equipment for them as it requires a CDL if you are not a firefighter. No problem, I say!

Good thing that some former coolie carrier drivers go north! LOL

Leaving Indy around 5AM Monday for Alaska. It will take me about 5 days since I won't be running a 'Golfhobo' legal logbook.
    I'll be in touch clowns!

Oh........can I get paid CPM GMAN?

But then again....how long will I actually last not holding a steering wheel?

If not before I get there. Talk to ya'all soon.

I've also been told that some things really stand out when they get cold...
    Destroy the cities...
    and they will rebuild them.
    Destroy the farms...
and grass will grow in the streets of the cities.

Destroy the economy of the blue-collar worker...

To officially hijack this thread, I'm vacationing in Anchorage right now. Caught 3 pink Salmon yesterday and saw a baby moose the day before.

BTW, it's true. It does stay light up here all night, or most of it anyway.

OK thanks for the update. For a while there I thought Indiana's "ugliest catch" was going to go play "deadliest catch" in Alaska!

Seriously bro, have a great time and best of luck. It sounds awesome and I would jump at that opportunity in a heartbeat!

Sounds like heaven on earth Scoe! LOL I'll be in Anchorage shortly after I get to Valdez to do my HazMat recert. I'll see if I can borrow a coolie carrier tractor and give ya a ride!

Be careful around the moose. I understand they can be mean. Just don't pull a golfhobo and walk up an try and pet 'em! Sounds like your having a blast Scoe...............I'll follow your lead.....

Nah SnowDog.........don't think so on the driving part. Obviously I have the credentials but am leaning towards possibly a more traditional style of life up there (if possible). Driving sure has been pretty good to me though. I am going to miss my tanker.

Out the door for my final run tonight....... Hell, I think I might get a bit emotional here. Then again...........

LOL SnowPUP! I gotta get grounded real quick like! My baby brothers are the mariners. Not me!

Ref: Brickyard 400. Sorry that I will miss you. It would be great to show you how I can handle a double-beer-bong in the infield. Amazing to say the least............

Since I'll miss ya. I took this warm up pic yesterday evening on my last run out of the Marathon Petroleum terminal outside of Turn 2.

Spoiler? You got it! The Rushville, Indiana Rocket...aka "Smoke" will be kissing the bricks (again!) at the start finish line. You heard it here first!
