You need to place blame where it belongs, on Bush Senior, Dick Cheney and Kissinger, who along with Ken Lay formulated the Iraq Oil grab, the Enron fraud and the resulting rigging of the oil markets that ruined the entire US banking system and the world economy along with it.

Need more proof ??? Go ahead cut and paste these keywords into any search engine if you have the desire to learn the truth.

    Enron Cheney Energy Task Force

Ah what the hell, I'll make it easy for you !!! Enron Cheney Energy Task Force - Google Search

If you hate living in poverty, quit believing the Nixon boys (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Kissinger) lies !!!!

They stole a sack of gold on the way out the door, your gold, your future, your jobs !!!

You get stuck paying for the money they stole with government bail outs of the institutions they bankrupted (GM, Chrysler and all the entire banking system) !!!

We will never see the sweeping changes needed because the American public lacks the intelligence, education and will required.

Wow... aren't "we" feeling patriotic today, the 4th of July

Perhaps you would like to start a movement to bring forth a superior race? Pick up where the last chap left off?

If you can call it a foreign policy. His policy seems to isolate our friends and embrace our enemies. Yep, that ought to work.

You should be worried about losing our entire way of life. This group is doing more damage to this country than the terrorists have since 9/11.

What they want is control and power. All they will do with healthcare is increase costs and lower quality. If you look at the current medicaid program they are already limiting the number of prescriptions someone can receive. National healthcare works if you are not chronically ill. For those who have severe health problems they will see their healthcare diminish. Their interest in the environment again has more to do with power and control than anything else. It is simply another way to tax the American public. Just wait until they get some of these new laws put into effect. Every truck owner and driver will be affected. Fuel prices will rise dramatically. If you look at most of what these people have done since in office, it has everything to do with power and control and little to do with actually helping this country. One other thing. You can expect a big tax increase to pay for this "FREE" healthcare program.

    1. I think the response Obama gets when he visits Europe pretty well rebuts that.

You should be worried about losing our entire way of life. This group is doing more damage to this country than the terrorists have since 9/11.

    2. This statement is so laughably false and downright idiotic I don't even know where to start.

    3. Bush/Cheney didn't want control and power?

We spend a greater % of our GDP on health care than any other nation on the planet, save Switzerland, which has an older population and provides a much higher level of care. All of the nations that have "Socialist" health care systems also have healthier citizens, when measured by almost any metric (life expectancy, infant mortality etc.). They manage to achieve this at a lower cost, largely because 30% of our health care costs end up in the pockets of the insurance industry. We live in a global economy. We cannot afford to spend such a huge percentage of our GDP on health care. We need that money to fund education, research and infrastructure if we want to remain economically competitive. Obama understands this, apparently you do not, or maybe you're investing all the excess profits from your trucking business in health insurance company stocks.

Something else most people don't seem to understand is that it's almost impossible that our health care costs in the U.S. could actually increase from where they are now. For example, under our current system a great deal of basic primary care gets delivered in emergency rooms, which is about the least cost-effective way to do it. Our overall cost of health care would almost certainly be lower if everyone had access to free basic primary care, no matter how that access was funded.

"Free" health care does not exist. Obama knows this, please show me where he has ever promised anyone "free" health care. Under any alternative health care plan what would change is how those costs are allocated. What you get with universal coverage is a situation where every citizen pays into one pool and the costs of everyone's care is drawn from that pool. The risk is allocated evenly throughout the entire society, you won't be denied basic treatment, and you will never lose your coverage. If you have insurance through your job, the pool is a lot smaller and if you lose your job, you lose your coverage. If you need health care after you lose your job either you pay for it yourself (all the risk is allocated to you) or you get help from Medicaid (the risk is allocated among all taxpayers).

You seem to be really good at throwing out these blanket statements without being able to substantiate any facts behind them. Please show me what higher taxes you are personally facing.

Sarah Palin not under FBI investigation, agency spokesman says - Los Angeles Times

Or just read that lefty newspaper instead of the lefty blogs. Your choice, I suppose.
Reading this blog will make you smarter and/or more attractive.

No legitimate news sources are claiming she is going to be indicted. Just speculation on the left.

But the internet sais she is, so it must be true.

You talk about oil prices, the banking industry, etc, but that's only scratching the surface. Municipalities are going into a financial melt-down now also. And, with reduced revenue, they're also having to hire additional employees to handle the workload.

NYT: Tax appeals slam local governments - The New York Times- msnbc.com

And, that's still being compounded by the returning members of the Armed Forces. "Welcome home, and thanks for risking your lives for our freedom... Oh, by the way... We've got nothing for you..."

Johnny comes marching home ? to no job - The Elkhart Project- msnbc.com

And, it doesn't look like it's going to improve anytime soon.

Jobless consumers will hold back recovery - Eye on the Economy- msnbc.com

Fact is, I'm expecting it to get much worse. None of the experts has a handle on how to turn it around, and in order to keep the financial markets going, they're going to have to have another round of bailouts. They're dumping water into the Mississippi in order to keep the tributaries, small rivers, and the creeks and streams full of water. But, it dosn't flow that way, and neither does the economy.

As usual, the correct solution to the problem is not part of the vocabulary of "COLLECTIVE WISDON", so don't expect any turn-around anytime soon. A "domino effect" is going to keep us on a downward slide a while longer.

    Sad but true.

I agree with Blacksheep. Obama's ratings are slipping faster than Jimmy Carters. If he does manage to stumble and improve the economy, his ratings could go up, but I don't see a second term for him.
