    Default Walk stopped short...

Was enjoying the ride thru Montana today and decided to stop at a rest area...was gonna walk down a bit further and get a better picture of the Yellowstone River...decided the picture I already had was good enough.

When you walk up to a sign like that, it's time to say, "Nice scenery. I think I been here long enough. I'll head back to the truck."

In Arizona some of the rest stops have beware of poisonous creatures and insects warnings, with pictures of scorpions I actually walked around the desert one night trying to find a scorpion, never saw one in person, but I couldn't find one

Well the sign said it all, stay on the sidewalk and they woulda let you be. Rattlesnakes aren't too bad, at least they warn you before they strike unlike black snakes and copperheads.

    Ha HA.... bunch of wusses!

When I was about 13, I went to "camp" in Texas. They warned us about snakes and scorpions. They weren't WRONG! I got some close up looks at scorpions and snakes that year! They were everywhere!

Black snakes? Ha! They only prey on little creatures! They're GOOD for the environment.

Rattlesnakes are more "skeert" of YOU than you are of THEM! That's why God gave 'em a rattle!

There's a GOOD reason why Cowboys wear BOOTS!

Suck it UP, guys! No self respecting TRUCKER is gonna be "skeert" of a little SNAKE!

They got lots of signs like that at rest areas in Texas..... Never saw a snake there though, lots of other critters though.....

I love snakes, cant tell you how many times I have had to relocate them from someones yard because they are afraid of them. Just pick em up and move em . It is interesting because once you actually pick up a snake, and handle it, they realize you aren't gonna hurt them, and they relax and just hang out, never got bit by one.

I don't care what kind of snake it is, a good snake is a dead snake.

Orange, they also have a Rattlesnake roundup in Waurika, Ok, which is about an hour northeast of us. I've never been to it. They always have a big deal about it on the local news every year. I always tell myself that I have a good enough view of it from my house on the TV.

Heard on the news today that a "pet" python strangled a toddler to death in her bed/crib.

Snakes belong in the wild! I couldn't IMAGINE being that parent right now!
