Default Time & Date on "Last Post" column

Since I'm not the computer literate type, how come my time and dates are off in this column and how do I fix it? It all changed when the format changed here a few months ago. An example is I posted this at 8:33pm my time and it shows on the board as 1:33am. Not a life changing deal, It would just be nice to see when other things were posted. Thanks for any help.

Click on User CP on the top menu, find the User Options link on the left menu on the page that loads, scroll down, there is a time and date options area, set your time zone in there to what your time zone is, and apply the changes.

As I sit looking all around,
Confusion and uncertainty is all I found.
    The answers are there,
But I do not know where.
    Optimistic and hopeful dreams,
Are all I have so it seems.
The future I do not know,
So all I can do is take it slow.
But I do know it will work out,
So I wait and watch without a doubt
