Sweet..........no worries, just had an inspection done 2 weeks ago and was told that everything looked excellent and the underside of the truck was the cleanest they had ever seen for being a rock hauler. No leaks, no drips, no mud......guess it helps when the truck has only been out 3 times since New Year's.

Like a brake couldn't be out of adjustment... Paperwork can take you down quick, like matching unit numbers with ins. papers... or a cracked windshield....

Roadcheck 2009 Set for Early June

The annual roadside inspection blitz known as "Roadcheck" is scheduled for June 2-4, 2009, throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Conducted by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA), Roadcheck is the largest targeted enforcement program on commercial vehicles in the world. Approximately 14 trucks or buses get inspected, on average, every minute from Canada to Mexico during a 72-hour period each June.

During the 2008 event, 24 percent of vehicles were placed out of service, the lowest vehicle out-of-service rate recorded in the 21-year history of the event. Just over 5 percent of drivers were placed out of service, a 14 percent improvement over 2007.

More than 8,500 CVSA-certified inspectors at 1,850 locations across North America perform the Roadcheck truck and bus inspections.

I got stopped for an inspection this morning or at least i think i did.. Right before going into the west bound side of the Hampton Roads Tunnel the light flashes for all trucks stop for inspection which was two other trucks that was in front of me... we stop and the first truck was there for like ten mins and i guess had an issue or something.. once he pulled off she waved us two to come on by..

Every year I seem to be on vacation during that revenue blitz, sorry I don't have time for that nonsense. I just don't feel like participating in it.

Missed it by that much! Just outside Ft. Worth, TX, the lights on the sign were flashing and trucks were pulling in, but just before I got up to the sign it stopped flashing. They already had a line of trucks with no more room.

Just lucky I guess... must be all that clean livin'. I know it's clean livin' because otherwise I'd be having more fun.

Some states seem to be more aggressive than others. Some start their blitz a week or two earlier than the national check. Others have gone beyond the first week in June. The best thing is to keep all your paperwork up and make sure your truck will pass inspection.
