Serial killer truckers are a threat to you

ABC News is publicizing the fact that there are many serial killers using the highway and trucking jobs as a cover for their very sick and brutal crimes.

Could the guy sitting next to you at the truck stop be who you have to worry about ?

The FBI says that the majority of the murderers that are conducting killings on or near interstate highway are truckers.

I really don't get the question to be honest.

The thread was posted because this story made the national news tonight, so I thought some of you would be interested in watching out for the morons who are out there driving with you that are very sick, they may be a major threat to you and you should beware of the fact that not all these drivers are all there upstairs.

Dateline does "To Catch a Predator" on a fairly regular basis. Several times they have caught "truckers". Most notable were "Covenant" truckers.

The serial killer and sex predator deal has been hashed, re-hashed, and regurgitated here, several times in the last several month's.

It should also be pointed out that these heinous crimes appear to the work of OTR drivers.....

It isn't the industry's fault that these people are out killing. It is the responsibility of the individual who commits the crime. We are all responsible for our own behavior. From what I have heard some of these killers look and act like your next door neighbor. And I don't think there are more truck drivers committing this type of crime than any other profession. Just look at those who have been caught recently. There is only one that comes to mind that was a truck driver. The others came from other industries.

My advice is quit being paranoid and live your life. You have a better chance of getting ran over by a swift driver in the truck stop by accident then you do someone killing you on purpose, so are you gonna also stop walking across the T/S parking lot too?

Life is too short to be afraid of things. I know people that do every possible thing to prevent getting a cold or flu, and they are the ones that seem to get it every year, where I rarely even wash my hands and I never get sick!

I know people that refuse to eat at a T/S buffet, or even some that even refuse to eat at a restaurant period because they are so scared of sanitation issues, hell screw that, if that food looks good I am gonna eat it!

I wonder how some of these germ freaks / paranoids would handle life a few hundred years ago, before the invention of lysol, refrigerators, supermarkets, hermetically sealed containers, etc etc etc.

x2 seems as though the germ freaks are the ones that are always sick. those that live life and build up an immune system rarely get sick.

thankfully whenever i got sick, i'd let whatever i had kick my ass. five days later, whatever i had would be gone like i had never been sick. my cousin caught something that was pretty brutal. there was a swine flu scare from his girlfriend. my aunt was telling me that i HAD to stay indoors to avoid infecting everybody else. i brushed that off and continued with my normal routine. my cousin lost 10lbs from what he had. it wasn't swine flu. his girlfriend became sick. funny thing is, i never caught it. my immune system freaking rocks!
