gonna send this video link as an email to my relatives who still believe trucking is the greatest thing in the world, and that i was crazy to drop it altogether. they still believe that it pays extremely well, or that it ever did.
Thank you for posting this Mackman.
That the post has only drawn one reply is a sad reflection on the social and political consciousness of the average CAD member.
I could offer some extensive comment, but I would rather save it for a forum that matters.
Once again, THANKS!

So true. Very nice
Yea i looked at the whole 15min of it and it is very true. It is a shame how it is. Truckers used to make money back in the day and now all a truck is is a sweatshop on wheels![]()
Ok. I wasn't driving before deregulation. In that respect, I'm a "JOHNY-COME-LATELY". However, I do have a brother with more than 40 years in this business. I remember conversations we had before deregulation, and the ones we've had since then. His pay dropped to about half of what it was before. I've also talked to a number of other guys that have said "the very best thing was getting out of trucking when deregulation happened".
Destroy the cities...and they will rebuild them.Destroy the farms...and grass will grow in the streets of the cities.
Destroy the economy of the blue-collar worker...and grass will grow in the executive offices.
The bill has come due.
