I have come across some scary people in truck stops. One guy with his arm in a sling asked me if I could help him put a couch into the back of his van.
Don't trust anybody. Especially that guy in the mirror.

"Red dots on the map above supplied by the FBI mark the locations of hundreds of bodies and human remains discovered along highways over the past three decades."

That's odd. Five + years OTR and I haven't been to a single one of those places. And I can explain the zip ties, duct tape and bloody machete . .

"We're about 10th in line," said Capt. Clarke Fine of Hendricks County, Ind. "I figure if Texas fries him, we're good."

Nice to see some efficiencies in Government.

    Here's our local version;

CJ Online National News: Acquaintances say confessed killer seemed normal 11/08/98

The thing that creeps me out is that I think they've still got the truck he drove when he was killing hookers in it.

As I sit looking all around,
Confusion and uncertainty is all I found.
    The answers are there,
But I do not know where.
    Optimistic and hopeful dreams,
Are all I have so it seems.
The future I do not know,
So all I can do is take it slow.
But I do know it will work out,

I met a trucker who was a Charles Manson twin. He wanted directions to the same place I was going to and I was afraid to get close to him. He was that creepy looking and he had some crazy looking eyes. I truly believe he could be one of those who should be on that list.
If you think you can or you think you can't, either way you are right!

Doesn't matter where you have been, it's where you are going in life that counts!

Most killers don't look like killers, most of them are the people you would NEVER expect. The two truckers that did get busted under this program already everyone said they never would of expected them to be killers!

Maybe there's a serial killer community up there somewhere.

    Think about it.

I'd say that some of these guys are not all that smart when they dump bodies in states like FL, MS, LA, and TX. Especially, the southern part of the states. Either that, or there must be a large number of bodies that will never be found. There are gators in all these states that would be far more than willing to remove the evidence from the face of the earth. I've only been in FL for a few years, but there are stories from some of the older "native Floridians" about guys that were fed to the gators. Dump a body in a ditch and it will get found. Dump it in a canal and the gators will find it first. Kind of makes me wonder just how many of those red dots will never go onto that map. Hopefully, none of these guys will be smart enough to cover their tracks that well.

Sure hope they get all of them. I had been hoping that drivers were not involved, and I guess I should have known better after the publicity we got from "TO CATCH A PREDITOR". Now, I'm hoping it doesn't take long to catch them all. With 500 bodies, either there's a number of them, or a few that have been very busy.

Question. If you're going to stab them, and dismember them, what do you do about the blood? I can't imagine any way you would be able to clean it all up. Also, would the scent of a little blood attract the attention of a "cadavor dog"??? Would it do any good to have a couple of them stationed at some of the weigh scales???

There has to be some way to get them out of the industry.
    Destroy the cities...
    and they will rebuild them.
    Destroy the farms...
and grass will grow in the streets of the cities.

Destroy the economy of the blue-collar worker...
and grass will grow in the executive offices.

    The bill has come due.
    ( R E T I R E D , and glad of it)

wood chipper was used in Washington state.....guy killed his wife after everyone knew she was going to Mexico for a vacation....he froze her cut up body and ran it through the chipper....then he messed up and spread her around the roses....gardner found a fingernail. Living that close to the ocean, you think he would have used her for chum.

There ARE murders commited in S. Dakota.....but they are Indians and it rarely gets reported in the press.

Wasn't the I-70 killer in the mid 90's a trucker? Wait....yes he was, my wife ran the fueldesk at the Gateway truckstop and waited on him a time or 2.
