A spot on reader comment from story #1 . .

"He did,nt overturn hauling beer, he overturned hauling butt!"

Some other comments are worthy of note, as well.

here comes the big number one . .

Story #2 has a grainy picture bud it looks like a Bud truck to me. Regardless, the driver must be very happy to be at home tonight.

You gotta admire the kids honesty...fessing up that he wrecked because he was reaching for his cell phone.

I guess it's a good thing that all the distractions that people have today, weren't available in the 70's, when I learned to drive. I got my fingers smacked by Ma, for reaching for an 8-track tape that was sitting on the dash once.

Maybe I need to set up my puter, so I can drive down da road and watch movies or something huh???

I know a guy that told his trainee that "you're not a real truck driver until you can drive and read a magazine at the same time." He also went into the bunk and slept while his trainee was driving. About a month into the training, the trainee tried it and wrecked.

But, having met his trainee too, that was not the sharpest knife in the drawer either.

Go ahead Stan we could do instant messaging while we drive. It'll be fun. Well, while you drive, there's no room in my daycab for computers.

    *sigh*...........*siigghhhh*

30 years of doing this and I am a failure!! I just can't see surfing the net (as much as I enjoy surfing) or reading anything...let alone a magazine, while I drive the truck.

*sigh* I'm such a failure. *sigh*

    Read a magazine while driving?????

I have met and seen a lot drivers who never learned how to read a road sign yet.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.
