it's a pretty nice establishment for being a pilot. the problem, however, is the damn lot. it's seemingly packed 24/7. lots o' bobtails are in there as well.

your exactly right. There is a BNSF rail head on the next exit in the Alliance business park. That TS is always jammed.

i was one of those bobtails taking up a tractor-trailer spot a month and a half ago. all the bobtail spots were taken. the only open spot i found at 0230 central time was upwind of the gross wtfNASTY garbage compressor. there was a l/o swifty parked directly next to it. i felt sorry for that poor chap.

as for myself, i'm on a different fleet now here at knight. it's supposed to one of those slip-seat, out for a week, or two, or three, and off for one week. it'll allow me to get my benefits, be considered full-time, and actually have some kind of a life, and hopefully phase myself out of OTR trucking once and for all. the bosses know i do seriously want to go back to school, and they're definitely not holding that against me. had a speech with kevin knight, my old dispatcher, and the safety guy yesterday about the uber performance of mine, and what not, and i laid it all out to them. they all agreed that at 26, i shouldn't have to be confined to a truck 24/7. also that i'm still young enough to do other things in life, and that i should definitely pursue those other interests.

i'd have to say that kevin knight isn't that bad of a guy. for realz.
