We have alot of Wild cats that we feed left overs, we have had most of them for many years. They keep mice away etc..
Well last night I had put the left overs out, and a couple of hours later went to go get the pan. Behold the was michell a very good cat that was left behind from a nehbore, she was saying hi to me.. I asked her if she was done and looked around the door to see the pan..
I see another cat there, so I started closing the door and figured I would wait another hour or so. While thinking "God that is one ugly cat" then it dawned on me. It was a possum probly weighing close to 30lbs.
I called my wife and it was still there sharing the food with all the cats. I went to take a pic, but it got scarred and craweled up the Weeping willow in the back. Stayed there till 3:30 this morning..
Then my wife heard a dog going crazy so she had woke me up, and I went to investigate. Not seeing anything I resumed my sleeping. Well I went to feed the horses this morning, and there in the yard was a dead kitten..
It looks like the next door nehbors dog got it, so I get to warn them today, and hope they keep the dog on there property otherwise it will be buried next to the cat.
Usualy it is skunks eating with the cats, this is the first time I have seen a possume eat peacfuly with them.
Used to have a rooster eat with them and keep them inline like they where his hens.
