If Yellowstone blows, there is no volcano eruption in human history that even remotely comes close. Mt. St. Helens would look like a fart standing next to Chernobyl. Areas 400 miles away would get covered in a foot of ash. There is just nothing like it.

The number of deaths could be staggering. That foot of ash, even 400 miles away in Denver, would collapse most roofs, and any with people in them would get severely injured or die. It would be the end of the U.S. as a global superpower, and there would be wars.

A year without a summer would be about as close to a major disastor as you want to get, but if Yellowstone goes, it's going to be worse than that. The cloud that it would send into the air could take more than a year to settle. And, it wouldn't just be here in the US, but all over the world. You would not have to worry about global warming anymore. One year without a summer would mean major food shortages all over the world. (and let the Arabs eat their oil.)

Yellowstone has been rising in altitude for a while now. In the last several months, the number of minor earthquakes has gone up sharply. What they do not know... Will it simply let off a little pressure or will it blow a 15 mile hole in the ground. A foot of ash settling 400 miles away would do a lot more than just kill people. Millions of acres would be covered in ash, and many of the crops that we use as our food source would be killed off for the season. Even corn might not survive because of acid content in the ash.

Quite obviously, there is something pushing the ground level upward, but how long it's going to go on before something breaks loose, no one knows. If you worry about it, it won't happen. If you go about your daily business like nothing's wrong, you'll get caught with your pants down. (A watched pot never boils.)

But, along with any eruption, there could also be some very major earthquakes along the west coast too. That could be when California sinks into the ocean. No one knows just what effects the release of pressure would have there.

All these things are "WORST CASE SENARIO". The experts will be able to tell you far more about it when it becomes hind-sight.

But, living in AZ, you might want to dig a big hole, fill it with supplies to be able to hide from the effects for about 5 years or so to allow the dust to settle.

That it could be an ELE (End of Life Event) because of all the smoke and dust that would be launched into the atmosphere. Blocking the effects of the sun would cool things off here on the surface, it would also affect the air currents, and a good share of life could be destroyed. Any particles that are above the clouds, and above the rain could be floating around up there for a couple of years. Rain only washes particles out of the air when they are at or below the level of the clouds.

Those that are monitoring the changes are expecting a very major event, but since so many of the so-called experts have been wrong about so many things, it could simply end with a HIC-UP.

There was a made for tv movie I saw last year about this very subject.....Yellow Stone erupts so on and so forth......I'll believe it when I see it, just like global warming.....notice it snowed in Vegas and closed all roads leading south from there?

If it were to blow. It may, but for now, I think it's just something to keep in the back of our minds. Last thing I read about it said that the "minor" earthquakes have subsided. And, it has done something very much like this a few years ago. The tropography of Yellowstone has been changing since the 1970s, that they have been monitoring. Almost like some giant monster breathing under there. It goes up, then it goes down, then it goes up again. But each time it goes back down, it leaves an outer ring of elevation. For now, it looks like it's going to settle back down. If it were to blow, I don't think Kevin would be the only one not hauling any freight. Very likely there would be no freight to haul.

And, the next time it does this, Bruce Willis will come up with a way to drill a hole over it, and pump a concrete slurry over the top of it...

But I think the question is , If and when some of this stuff happens whether it be yellow stone, planet x, aliens etc. Will there be anything left of the human race to destroy?

We seem to be doing enough to ourselves in the name of polotics, biggovernment, religion, and pressing our own desires on our fellow man. To end it all even before these great events. With that being said, even if these great events where to occure, the government would try to keep it hush, and deny it. Just to keep the people from the mad panic, and then wham, most of us wont even know what happen due to not putting on our tin foil hats.

I think and believe that out of every myth, there is a form of truth at one time. Take dragons for example,
there is so much writings out of the biblical days {and other religons} about them. Not to mention history that go even to the midevil days that dragons existed.
I think it was in the 1940's sometime there was a case in china or japan where they say a black dragon fell from the sky. Also I think in just the last 10 years or so a sighting in some mountains some where of a dragon and it was caught on a pic, also in a plane 2 dragons caught in a pic..
