Any one follow the UFC or watching Ultimate fighter?
The last UFC light weight comp in Jersey.....
OMG. My husband said," Oh this guys is good"
Famous last words.
Down in the first few seconds.... disappointing. What was his name? the white guy...
I L-O-V-E LOVE UFC!!! But haven't got to watch lately at all!!![]()

Humphry Davy
yeah I follow pretty close...love watching the fights that are free on Spike but don't shell out the $50 for the PPV.
UFC is starting to go the way of professional wrestling ...scripted/fake.
i've been watching ufc since 1996. the ultimate fighter is an awesome show. i've even met chuck liddell a few years back when he stopped in fresno, ca to have some drinks at a sports bar. kevin randleman and micheal mcdonald were there, too. i talked to all three for a bit. i gotta say that they're cool ass dudes. two others were there that i didn't like. josh koscheck since he's from fresno, and diego sanchez. both of those dudes are prissy brats.
I follow it very closely, in fact i am sitting here at the truck stop keeping up with the play by play from the UFC ppv going on in england right now. And no, its not going the way of scripted wrestling, at least not in the UFC.
My cousins son is a UFC Fighter(Kendall Grove), never watched till he got involved.
the Ultimate Fighter show is a whole different story and even at that the actual fights themselves are not scripted. what goes on in that house before and after the fights may be one theing but its not scripted action when they fight.
I don't think I would consider it scripted? You throw that many guys in a small house with ego's the size of Texas and throw some alcohol on top if it your definitely going to get some train wreck tv. I will agree though some are probably encouraged to act like nut cases. But it does make for good tv.
Well I guess it's not like prowrestling after all its not like a fake fighter from pro-wrestling could just start working in the UFC...wink
a fake fighter from prowrestling that was an NCAA division 1 champion wrestler with over 100 wins in his career.
despite brock's past in the wwe, he is going to be insanely good in the heavyweight division. he's a legitimate athlete with a wrestling background that goes from high school and through college. he's much faster than the rest of the guys, his cardio is real good, he hits like a train, and dominated frank mir standing up. heath herring got smothered and dominated, too.
as for kimbo, i've always felt he was a joke. during his street fighting days, there was a deal to fight sean gannon. kimbo's crew kept interrupting the fight whenever their man was being pounded on. sean actually won that fight even though it wasn't a legally sanctioned one. a week ago proved it even further when kimbo got his ass beat in 14 seconds of the first round by some unknown fighter who replaced ken shamrock. if i had paid to see that fight rooting for kimbo, i would have wanted my money back. at any rate, seth petruzelli showed how much of a craptastic fighter kimbo really is. unfortunately for kimbo, his old crew couldn't jump in and stop the fight long enough for him to catch his breath and regather himself.
Agree 100%. Brock ran circles around Herring and he controlled the fight from the beginning to the end. What I really liked about Brock is that he doesn't want to win by submission, he wants to knock his opponent out. He had several chances to submit Herring and he didn't go for it. Once Brock fine tunes his defense against the submission, he will be unbeatable. He's still very inexperienced in MMA but he's definitely holding his own. He made the right choice in leaving WWE and going to the UFC.
Well I think BL proved he is the real deal. I figured Couture would drop out before the fight because I think he knew he couldn't win but Lesnar Knocked out Couture, the heavy weight champion in the 2nd round. I think the guy is going to be unbeatable, he keeps getting better and better.
