Question Tried to stay away... I really did...

Got involved with another site, "NEWSVINE.COM" and read an article you folks might want to know about. For some of you, your "SHINY BLACK KNIGHT" isn't quite so shiny.

    http://jazzman646.newsvine.com/_news...rican-american

Barack Obama Revealed, A Dire Warning from an African American...

The real information wasn't in the article itself, but came out in the comments below it.

one can read Sol Stern's excellent City Journal critique of Ayers:

. . .As Ayers puts it in one of his course descriptions, prospective K–12 teachers need to “be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and . . . be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, a teacher teaching for social justice and liberation.” Ayers’s texts on the imperative of social-justice teaching are among the most popular works in the syllabi of the nation’s ed schools and teacher-training institutes. One of Ayers’s major themes is that the American public school system is nothing but a reflection of capitalist hegemony. Thus, the mission of all progressive teachers is to take back the classrooms and turn them into laboratories of revolutionary change.

Unfortunately, neither Obama nor his critics in the media seem to have a clue about Ayers’s current work and his widespread influence in the education schools. In his last debate with Hillary Clinton, Obama referred to Ayers as a “professor of English,” an error that the media then repeated. Would that Ayers were just another radical English professor. In that case, his poisonous anti-American teaching would be limited to a few hundred college students in the liberal arts. But through his indoctrination of future K–12 teachers, Ayers has been able to influence what happens in hundreds, perhaps thousands, of classrooms.

Ayers’s influence on what is taught in the nation’s public schools is likely to grow in the future. Last month, he was elected vice president for curriculum of the 25,000-member American Educational Research Association (AERA), the nation’s largest organization of education-school professors and researchers. Ayers won the election handily, and there is no doubt that his fellow education professors knew whom they were voting for. In the short biographical statement distributed to prospective voters beforehand, Ayers listed among his scholarly books Fugitive Days, an unapologetic memoir about his ten years in the Weather Underground. The book includes dramatic accounts of how he bombed the Pentagon and other public buildings.
And Obama, as head of the fiscal arm of the Annenberg Challenge, was responsible for steering funding to leftwing groups like the frauds at ACORN that Ayers is in bed with and which he too was in bed with when he was a young Chicago politico on the rise. Anyone who cares a whit about primary and secondary education in this country wouldn't allow Bill Ayers or any of his acolytes within 20 miles of a public school. Apparently, that's not a class that includes Barack Obama.
So what is it about Bill Ayers? Those of you that are old enough, think back to 1968. Bill Ayers, ANTI-AMERICAN, CONVICTED OF NO LESS THEN 12 BOMBINGS, ranks right up there with the BLACK PANTHER LEADER that shot and killed a Chicago police officer, then got off on a technicality. They TOLD him his right to an attorney rather then reading them off a card. Not that many years ago, the same black panther leader was a candidate for mayor of Oakland, CA. Bill Ayers and Barack Obama... They's BUDDIES.

Those of you that are supporting him... Making a TRULY INFORMED DECISSION? ARE WE?

Here's more on Obama. Go to the links and read...

    http://townhall.com/columnists/Thoma...the_real_obama

    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/p-j-gla...list-new-party

After allegations surfaced in early summer over the 'New Party's' endorsement of Obama, the Obama campaign along with the remnants of the New Party and Democratic Socialists of America claimed that Obama was never a member of either organization. The DSA and 'New Party' then systematically attempted to cover up any ties between Obama and the Socialist Organizations. However, it now appears that Barack Obama was indeed a certified and acknowledged member of the DSA's New Party.

On Tuesday, I discovered a web page that had been scrubbed from the New Party's website. The web page which was published in October 1996, was an internet newsletter update on that years congressional races. Although the web page was deleted from the New Party's website, the non-profit Internet Archive Organization had archived the page.

From the October 1996 Update of the DSA 'New Party':
"New Party members are busy knocking on doors, hammering down lawn signs, and phoning voters to support NP candidates this fall. Here are some of our key races...

Illinois: Three NP-members won Democratic primaries last Spring and face off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (U.S. House), Barack Obama (State Senate) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary)."

You can find the above quote from the scubbed New Party web page at this Internet Archive Organization link (http://web.archive.org/web/200103060...rg/up9610.html). More confirmation of Obama's membership in the New Party can be found at an article (http://www.populist.com/11.96.Edit.html) in the November 1996 Progressive Populist magazine:

New Party members and supported candidates won 16 of 23 races, including an at-large race for the Little Rock, Ark., City Council, a seat on the county board for Little Rock and the school board for Prince George's County, Md. Chicago is sending the first New Party member to Congress, as Danny Davis, who ran as a Democrat, won an overwhelming 85% victory. New Party member Barack Obama was uncontested for a State Senate seat from Chicago.

Hey Wind, the liberal Kool-Aid drinkers won't give a hoot about that. They've already put Ayers on a pedestal along with Obama and they worship both of them. Face it...both of dem are just swell guys, doncha know.

As each day goes by, I'm hoping more and more that Obama wins out in November. It's going to be downright hilarious to watch the faces of some of these people when Obama gets turned loose with all his "programs."

Thank God I'm not an athiest or I would have already written off this country as lost.

BTW, do you want your original login stuff back? You are Windwalker, aren't you?

:P That's why I put my old avatar back on. I had this one so long I think it grew on as part of me. Just like Gman's. I'll keep this one now. I don't think I need credit for all my past posts. You all know who I am.

But, what I've found out about Obama is VERY UNSETTLING, to say the least. I have to come up just a bit short of saying he's tied in with terrorists, but he certainly is tied in with EXTREMISTS. They're following the same pattern I learned about in school, so many years ago. But, when I read about it in History, they were talking about other countries. Now, it's our turn. They're putting their "puppets" in positions of power. When they get everybody in position, they're going to make their move. No wonder the President of Iraq has been talking about the end of the "AMERICAN EMPIRE". All of a sudden, his words aren't so hollow.

By the way, Reb, read the stories and others that the links will lead you to and you'll know just what "MACHINE" is behind him. They've got a whole lot of power (money) on their side.

And, you can still write my name in on the ballot in Nov.

Ayers is old news. The article is too long to post here.

    Obama once visited '60s radicals
    By: Ben Smith
    February 22, 2008 01:26 PM EST

In 1995, State Senator Alice Palmer introduced her chosen successor, Barack Obama, to a few of the district’s influential liberals at the home of two well known figures on the local left: William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

While Ayers and Dohrn may be thought of in Hyde Park as local activists, they’re better known nationally as two of the most notorious — and unrepentant — figures from the violent fringe of the 1960s anti-war movement.

Now, as Obama runs for president, what two guests recall as an unremarkable gathering on the road to a minor elected office stands as a symbol of how swiftly he has risen from a man in the Hyde Park left to one closing in fast on the Democratic nomination for president.

“I can remember being one of a small group of people who came to Bill Ayers’ house to learn that Alice Palmer was stepping down from the senate and running for Congress,” said Dr. Quentin Young, a prominent Chicago physician and advocate for single-payer health care, of the informal gathering at the home of Ayers and his wife, Dohrn. “[Palmer] identified [Obama] as her successor.”

Obama and Palmer “were both there,” he said.

Obama’s connections to Ayers and Dorhn have been noted in some fleeting news coverage in the past. But the visit by Obama to their home — part of a campaign courtship — reflects more extensive interaction than has been previously reported.
Neither Ayers nor the Obama campaign would describe the relationship between the two men. Dr. Young described Obama and Ayers as “friends,” but there’s no evidence their relationship is more than the casual friendship of two men who occupy overlapping Chicago political circles and who served together on the board of a Chicago foundation.

But Obama’s relationship with Ayers is an especially vivid milepost on his rise, in record time, from a local official who unabashedly reflected a very liberal district to the leader of national movement based largely on the claim that he can transcend ideological divides.

In one sense, Obama’s journey toward the cultural and political center is not unusual among national politicians. But its velocity is.

Politicians of an earlier generation had their own relationships with figures now far to their left. Hillary Rodham Clinton, for instance, interned at a radical San Francisco law firm while in law school.

On the other side of the political spectrum, many in the generation before hers shifted dramatically on civil rights. John McCain voted against creating a holiday to honor Martin Luther King Jr. and later called that a mistake.

The relationship with Ayers gives context to his recent past in Hyde Park politics. It’s milieu in which a former violent radical was a stalwart of the local scene, not especially controversial.

It’s also a scene whose liberal ideological features — while taken for granted by the Chicago press corps that knows Obama best — provides a jarring contrast with Obama’s current, anti-ideological stance. This contrast between past and present — not least the Ayers connection — is virtually certain to be a subject Republican operatives will warm to if Obama is the Democratic nominee.

The tension between the present and recent Chicago past is also evident in some of his positions on major national issues. Many national politicians, including Clinton, have moved toward the center over time. But Obama’s transitions are still quite fresh.

A questionnaire from his 1996 campaign indicated more blanket opposition to the death penalty, and support of abortion rights, than he currently espouses. He spoke in support of single-payer health care as recently as 2003.

Like many of the most extreme figures from the 1960s Ayers and Dohrn are ambiguous figures in American life.

They disappeared in 1970, after a bomb — designed to kill army officers in New Jersey — accidentally destroyed a Greenwich Village townhouse, and turned themselves into authorities in 1980. They were never prosecuted for their involvement with the 25 bombings the Weather Underground claimed; charges were dropped because of improper FBI surveillance.

Both have written and spoken at length about their pasts, and today he is an advocate for progressive education and a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago; she’s an associate professor of law at Northwestern University.

But — unlike some other fringe figures of the era — they’re also flatly unrepentant about the bombings they committed in the name of ending the war, defending them on the grounds that they killed no one, except, accidentally, their own members.

Dohrn, however, was jailed for less than a year for refusing to testify before a grand jury investigating other Weather Underground members’ robbery of a Brinks truck, in which a guard and two New York State Troopers were killed.

“I don't regret setting bombs; I feel we didn't do enough,” Ayers told the New York Times in 2001.

And their rehabilitation in establishment circles, even in Hyde Park, has its limits.

Though he is a respected figure in liberal educational circles, Ayers wrote recently about how in 2006 he was informed he was persona non grata at a progressive educators’ conference in the summer of 2006.
“We cannot risk a simplistic and dubious association between progressive education and the violent aspects of your past,” he quoted the conference organizers, whom he described as friends, as writing to him.

But the couple has been embraced, by and large, in the liberal circles dominating Hyde Park politics.

“Bill Ayers is one of my heroes in life,” said Sam Ackerman, a longtime local activist. “I knew Tony Rezko, and he ain’t no Rezko.”

But others in Hyde Park, whose intellectual and political life revolves around the University of Chicago, view the couple with ambivalence.

Really? How much do you want to bet that MOST of America does not remember about Ayers or his wife, and do not realize the significance of the association? I had thought they simply went underground, and after all this time, I didn't connect the name with all the violence from back then. For the majority of America, the story will be the same. And, for that matter, by now, most of the voters are too young to remember about it anynow.

Al Capone was well respected in his community too.

I meant the association of Obama with Ayers is OLD NEWS, in Chicago anyway. Did you notice that this was written last February? Ayers and Dorhn haven't been underground, they have been steadily working their way into the system.

Most voters are in the "Baby Boom" age brackets and SHOULD remember the '60's. Problem is, they've gotten complacent, and CHOOSE to forget. Even Richard Daley is saying we shouldn't bring up something that happened 40 years ago. BTW, isn't his brother working for Obama?

Yes we all loved Capone. He did a lot for his 'family' and his community. He just insisted on doing it "His Way". (We Need a SARCASM smilie)

McCain and G. Gordon Liddy. Of course all he did was try to subvert the election of a President, conspire to kidnap and bomb. He also wanted to kill a journalist with whom he disagreed. Not anywhere near as bad as Ayers.

And of course Palin did not attempt to Hire Liddy to lobby.

These included firebombing the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. , kidnapping anti-war protest organizers and transporting them to Mexico during the Republican National Convention"

He twice suggested that the Branch Dividians shoot for the heads of the ATF agents on the ranch. Liddy also speaks highly of Adolf Hitler! Let me say that again, ADOLF HITLER! McCain has espoused support for Liddy on his radio show as recently as last November saying he was Proud of him. At least Obama denounced Ayers.

OK long story here. The great state of Alaska Budget Appropriation http://gov.state.ak.us/omb/09_omb/bu...9proj38713.pdf $120,000 for a company called Arctic Power. Arctic power then hires there very own TERRORIST G Gordon Libby to lobby for them with state money. And there was plenty of outrage http://www.adn.com/politics/story/380556.html I guess we can't say Gov. Palin didn't know about it.

I am assuming that you meant to say denounce and not renounce, feel free to correct me if I am wrong(Like I needed to give you permission )

How about the same website you sent us to on another thread? Will that pass your "BIAS" test?

That would be one of Obama's spokesmen for the uninitiated.

Is that anything like being for him before being against him?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Obama's a sleaze and a dangerous sleaze at that. He's got so many skeletons and corpses in his closets that Geraldo Rivera could spend years opening them and never run out.

I'll agree with that, especially concerning his Chicago associates. What I don't understand is the media treating him like he's made of Teflon.
My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

Maybe I need to write a book... "SECRET HOSTILE TAKE-OVER OF AMERICA"

Get key people into positions to keep the negative hushed up, and get a good actor that can CHARM the public. Then, I have to get it published and on the BEST SELLER list before the election.

I went over both the video and transcript several times. Nowhere did I see or hear anything about denounce anyone. "Obama said the acts were deplorable" Does not sound like "denounce" to me.

    de·plor·able

    Function:
    adjective

    1 : lamentable <a deplorable death>
    2 : deserving censure or contempt : wretched <deplorable living conditions>

I think you are splitting hairs, and I think you know it too.
