I have to agree with ya on that one.

I tell ya..McCain is either going to win big or lose big on this pic for VP. A huge weak link is that she is one heartbeat away from the presidency and her experience is...almost zilch. Governor of a state with more reindeer than people (I stole that from CNN  ).

This is going to be a VERY interesting next few months!!!

No, BigD.... actually, I see just the opposite. McCain bases his claim to fame on the lack of experience of Obama, then picks a small town mayor with 2 yrs executive experience as governor of a state that's further from the "real world" than CANADA! With HIM 2 heartbeats away from the grave, he expects the country to accept HER as the next possible President of the Free World??

And, when she abdicates, and goes running home to care for her special child, we get Pelosi??? Yeah.... think about THAT before you vote for the almost DEAD guy!

Not to mention that it is obvious patronization of the Clinton supporters (women.) AND.... she's mired in an investigation over abuse of power!

I've never seen anyone try to GIVE AWAY a Presidential bid the way McCain and the Republicans are doing this year!

But, as RostyC says..... if she'd let down that hair.... she IS "hot!" She ain't no Adriana Lima..... but, it would be cool to have a Prez that sizzled!

That "whooshing" sound is the air escaping from whatever balloon the GOP was trying to keep inflated this go around! It was pitiful to begin with. Now, it's laughable!

Just confirming PROOF of what Obama said last night. McCain just doesn't "get it!" He thinks women candidates are as interchangeable as leggos!! Never mind that she is against everything that Clinton women stand for!

To use YOUR favorite word.... McCain is CLUELESS!! And, I don't want the leader of the free world to BE that ignorant! If I did..... I'd write in YOUR name!

Oh, this is too much! I just heard on the evening news, that after being dissatisfied with the 4 men on his "short list," McCain called this lady up and had his FIRST FACE TO FACE with her the same day he chose her! NO long term vetting, investigating, or consideration.

Just, a "maverick" pick! Sounds like he threw a dart at a board full of Hoggie's women pictures, and came up with HER!

This is going to be easier than ANY of us ever expected!

This is what we really need in these times of tension and strife..... a man who makes such major decisions on the spur of the moment, based on ulterior motives, and showing a TOTAL lack of "judgement!"

    I just can't stop laughing!!

Whassamatta, Ben? Some part of that statement too hard for you to understand?

Do I need to use "trucker English?"

Just THINK about it. McCain has had problems with cancer. AND he's old enough to die in office of even "natural" causes. If he does.... the free World will be led by a 44 year old woman who was the mayor of a small town in Alaska, with less than 2 years experience as a Governor of a state that, by all accounts, shares NONE of the problems of the rest of America.

Even Dubya had more pedigree than that.... and look what a mess HE has made of things!

And, to top it all off, the two of them disagree on drilling in Anwar!! Now, THAT'S a good basis for an administration's energy policy!

And I especially love the irony when Osamas campaign is calling Gov. Palin's experience into question.......

Now if that isn't the pot calling the kettle black, I don't know what is....

You STILL don't get it, do you? For months now, it has been the McCain campaign that has been questioning Obama's "experience." And THEN they go and pick this "unknown" untried and inexperienced running mate?

THAT is the irony. But then, I'm starting to realize that you KNOW that.... and are just yanking my chain. You are obviously as surprised and dismayed as any OTHER Republican must be right now, and you are just having a bit of fun with it. Okay.

Funny thing. I had not made up my mind yet. It was still an open question for me inasmuch as I MAY have voted for McCain. After all, he IS somewhat moderate and centrist, as am I.

But, this pretty much convinced me that I can no longer overlook his poor judgement, and geriatric senility. I don't agree with everything Obama wants to do, or believes in..... but, I HAVE to go with the man who has visions for the future, and not fears and memories of the past.

However..... as is my right, I will reserve any committment concerning my vote until after I've heard all that will be presented during the RNC. There is a part of me that would like to be convinced otherwise. But, as of now, I don't expect to see such motivation to vote for McCainYA!

I will take a " unknown , untried " running mate over a inexperienced, untried, 144 day Senator who thinks he can be president any day of the week.....

Let's just hope that she has a great ass.

It wasn't too awful long ago that not only was the free world led by a former Hollywood actor, but the Soviet Union was brought down, in large part, by his efforts/tenacity.

I'm not interested in them. Why don't YOU? Yes, I have heard that she is a "fighter." So is Obama. So is Biden (moreso that BOTH of them!) Biden has the International experience to assume the office if some redneck Republican should assassinate Obama. Does SHE have what it takes to lead the World if McCain dies in his sleep?

    [/quote]

NO they didn't. Reagan was NEVER a veep! And Cheney is/was more likely to die in office than Dubya!

You gotta hand it to Dubya. He WAS smart enough to "carry" Cheney into the Administration as a "flack jacket" against any possible attempts on his life! NO ONE, would want to kill Duibya! Cuz, not even the stoopidest of liberal activists would want to replace him with Cheney!

Kind of like the way he shirked his National Guard duty, and NEVER flew a combat mission!

So you freely admit to criticizing her lack of experience without knowing what experience she has?

News flash: She has accomplished more in 2 years than Obama has in his entire political career.

Given that Biden isn't much younger than McCain, I guess by your standards we should avoid the Democrat ticket at all costs. That is, unless you want Pelosi running the country.

Ok, here's some of her accomplishments.

Oh, by the way, she was in elected office for 5 years before Obama even ran for his State seat... so your bleating about 2 years of experience is a lie.

    As mayor,

First of all, she ran against the incumbent Republican mayor and beat him by promising reform.

She delivered this reform by cutting the town budget, saving money, and cutting property taxes by 60%.

She was elected President of the Alaska Council of Mayors.

She was appointed to the Oversight Board of Ethics regarding Oil Companies. While there she uncovered corruption, when she took it to the then Governor he tried to get her to ignore it. She resigned her post in protest and ultimately ran against the incumbent Republican Governor... and beat him too.

Her approval rating in Alaska exceeds 80%.

She went up against Senator Stevens over wasteful federal spending, and won that battle handily.

As Governor, she regularly negotiates with the Governments of Canada, Russia, and Japan over International fishing rights, and with Canada over oil and gas leasing.

She convinced the Canadian Government to fast track legislation to allow a natural gas pipeline to be built in the near future. She pushed legislation through the State government allowing the same.

    No International experience? Bull

    No Executive experience? Bull again

Get over it Hobo... Obama just lost this election, big time.

Golfhobo is a typical Obamaite.... When one asks what qualifications or experience the 144 day "Hope and Change " candidate has they respond by yelling and dodging the question....

    Simple question Hobo......

What has Obama accomplished and what experience does he have to lead the U.S. ???
