In a statement to INSIDE EDITION today, Biden's spokesman says: "Senator Biden understands the intense interest in him as the Democratic Vice Presidential nominee and has mentioned the accident over the years. His focus has always been on the tragedy of losing his wife and daughter, not on the circumstances that led to the crash. Dredging up the details of the accident now serves no purpose."
If the details serve no purpose then Biden needs to STFU about it. I agree, I wish the family would sue him over this BS story.

According to the State Police investigation, she pulled out into the intersection and didn't see a tractor trailer coming down the highway.
"There was no evidence at the time that was presented to me that the driver of the truck was impaired by alcohol," Jerome Herlihy says.

INSIDE EDITION spoke with Herlihy, who was a Deputy Delaware Attorney General at the time of the accident. He was called in to oversee the police investigation.

"If there had been any evidence of anything there would have been at least some charges of a violation of a traffic law," Herlihy says.
While it was horrible situation for him to go through but he's got no reason to be saying the driver was drunk. If I was in this family, I would be doing everything in my power to clear my fathers name. Biden needs to zip it.

I saw this on Inside edition as well. Unfortunately and assuming this is true,... it will be something that will probably be sweep under the carpet, as it is to sensitive to drag into the political race.
But, man to blame the truckdriver for the accident, when there is no evidence that it was his fault...just shows where bidens integrate is.

    Sorry HWD,
Your too quick to judge or rather you come to wrong conclusions. I am not a GW Bush hater. I even have the stones to say I voted for him twice. That being said I want to usher in the end to soloy white presidents, I want diversity and fairness. I want to like the first black presidental nominee. That's my point. Not to debate or defame another person. I posted the story because it is what Biden is doing (asking for sympathy) by falsey claiming to be a victim. When in fact it was his wife's fault. The trucker and the Biden's children that are the real victims.

The Bush haters comment was not directed at you personally, just seems to be the new national past time of the left over the past few years.

I am interested to know who the new villian of the left is going to be once Bush is out of office. I know they won't turn on Nobama and that idiot Biden after those two lead this country further down the road to socialism ala Europe, so who's the new villian gonna be? I guess they'll have to live in the past.

I have no problems electing a non-white guy to the White House...but NOT THIS FREAKIN' KNOB OBAMA! This guy is an elitist moron who will say whatever the hell he thinks he has to in order to get elected, even to the point of contradicting his own past, short voting record! Not a problem though...people nowadays are for the most part too lazy to wipe their own butts much less look deeper into someone who wants to be president...

If you want to make history you'll get it with McCain...his running mate is a woman, don't you know. I ain't his biggest fan but I will vote for him, if for no other reason than to deny a Muslim and Delaware's biggest loser another vote.

It has been a real struggle for me this year. I haven't been enthrawled with either candidate. I would probably have voted for McCain anyway, but his VP choice pushed it over the top for me. I don't think he is conservative, but she is. The more I look at Obama the more I am convinced that he would be the worst thing that would happen to this country in recent decades, should he be elected. One of the most important things this next president will likely do is appoint one or more new supreme court justices. History has shown us that when the Democrats appoint a judge they push their own agenda through the courts, regardless of what is stated in the Constitution. I don't care whether a justice is liberal or conservative as long as they interpret the Constitution literally. The Constitution is a very simple document to read and understand. I am amazed at how many politicians who will change the meaning of very simple words to meet their political goals. The supreme court has elected in recent years to make law rather than interpret existing law. They seem to forget about the Constitution when it comes to making decisions.

It seems a bit odd to me. I was under the impression that there were only two vehicles involved. The Biden car and the tractor-trailer. Where did the third one come from?

'Your wife's dead; your daughter's dead' ... It was an errant driver who stopped to drink instead of drive and hit a tractor trailer, hit my children and my wife and killed them."

That says there was a third car involved and that it was that driver that was drunk, not the truck driver.

Wind, that IE link only says that a semi and car were involved. Do you have another one that says different? It says Biden's first wife pulled off from a stop sign in front of the semi and got plowed.
