Go to the link and read the whole article. In a speech, he told University of Delaware students:
Yet years later, Biden would be quoted at least twice suggesting to crowds that his wife and daughter had been killed by a drunk driver. In the aftermath of September 11th, Biden gave a speech to University of Delaware students to reassure them. INSIDE EDITION found that speech archived on Biden's own website in which he told the crowd, "I got one of those phone calls...I got a phone call saying, 'Your wife's dead; your daughter's dead' ... It was an errant driver who stopped to drink instead of drive and hit a tractor trailer, hit my children and my wife and killed them."
I was under the impression that he was saying the truck driver was drunk. But, this suggests there was a third vehicle involved, and that THAT was the driver that was drunk.

Go back to the link and read 10th paragraph down. Either he is dillusional about it, or he's telling lies about it for convenience of the situation. And, we've had enough lies of convenience with Iraq, haven't we?

For that matter, I really don't think I want someone "dillusional" near the button that will start WWIII.

    The bill has come due.

If you read the whole thing, the story is a little different every time he tells it.

    Joe Biden is hardly dillusional.

The dillusional one is scrub Bush thinking he has the brains to be President.

Cheney is dillusional in thinking that "outing" a undercover CIA agent during a time of war is "good politics" and not treason!

Since neither Bush nor Cheney are running for President, that's hardly relevant.

Need to remember Palin was picked SOLELY to attrack the disgruntled Hillary voters. The "token" woman on the ticket. The town she was mayor of, the big topic was wether to pave the dirt roads! Biggest attrction there now, is a big box "Target" store is coming to town. Hell, my high school was half the size of her town.
Being a "born again Christian" she tried to have some books in the town library BANNED because SHE found them offensive? When the librarian refused to be part of HER censorship, the librarian was fired. But due to outcry of the townsfolk, the librarian was reinstated.
Vice President is largely a "ceromonial" position, President of the Senate, but rarely attends the daily meetings of the Senate. She might have beat back a few of the local yokels from Alaska, but the US Senate is the "elite" group of professional politicians, special interest enablers, and liars in the country, she is going to have a difficult time dealing with those crooks.
She has a 1 year old child with Downs Syndrome, a son heading off to the endless war in Iraq, and now a pregnant teenage daughter. Seems her plate is pretty full.

    :? :? :? :? :? :? :?

The lib media is bringing up Palin’s past and her daughter, and never brought up anything about Obama’s past - why? Where was the lib media on Obama’s relationship with Reverend Wright or Ayres? The libs are only hurting themselves by going after Palin’s daughter, which has nothing to do with Governor Palin herself. The media constantly can undermine our country, disclose our national security secrets, and root for our defeat. Why don’t they disclose their past and intimate details? What relevance does this have to the Vice Presidency? Also, Obama thinks he’s already President - and forgets he’s still a Senator. He has no respect for the voter, and he is taking us for fools.

The ones speaking alot about Gov. Palin's past are the other elected officials of the Republican party, they are voicing concern over the decison making process.
The Rev. Wright thing was played over and over on the news for 3 weeks.
Disclosing national secrets? You forget, the ones that "outed" Valarie Flume, the CIA agent, was Cheney's office!! In WWll if someone outed a undercover agent for the OSS they would have been charged with TREASON and probably hung! Instead the "scape goat," Scotter Libby, Cheney's Chief of Staff, was pardoned.

The one's taking you for a fool are the Republicans that got those to vote for G.Bush! And again,if they can get you to vote them back in office, you thik things will be better for you or your family?

Valerie Plane should be prosecuted for Perjury
    :!: :!: :!:
She was asked by a Congressman if she was a "covert" agent. She said that she didn't know if she was classified as a covert agent or not, that she was there to speak about the criminal "outing" of her.

The statute that was supposedly broken that lead to this wonderful trial against Scooter Libby was predicated upon the intentional "outing" of a "known" covert agent.

If Valerie Plame doesn't know if she is covert, then I suspect neither did Richard Armitage who "outed" her. Or Scooter or whoever. So there was never a crime, and the CIA KNEW THIS when they asked for the investigation. (For you liberals out there let me be specific, if the Liberal/Political CIA agent doesn't know if she is covert agent or not, then the person that "outs" her, probably doesn't know either.)

Therefore, either she is a covert agent and is now lying to the House subcommittee putting on this show for the America people, (which means she should go to jail with Scooter) or she isn't a covert agent, and she played the American Media for all that it was worth with her liberal allies in the CIA.

Which is strong evidence for specifically outing her in the first place in which to show that she and the CIA was acting "politically" to influence public opinion on the War by sending her deadbeat husband to Niger so that he could drink mint juleps by the pool as he "investigated" the yellow cake uranium sales.

The facts remain beyond the hype. Valerie Plame used her influence as an non-covert agent to get her husband selected to go to Niger to discredit the President for political purposes, and Richard Armtiage knew this and mentioned it to Robert Novak to show the politics behind the decision. There was no case to publicize or prosecute at all unless you are a member of the gullible liberal media or the Democratic National Committee.

With right to a Free Press also comes responsibility. Sadly, our Free Press only goes as far as the Fax machine to determine the truth, and only if the DNC has issued them their talking points/news flashes.

And the liberals think Fox is right wing. Take a look at NBC, ABC, NPR, ABC, CNN, etc.

you just dont' have a clue do you............. :?: :?: :?:

    LOL>>> I have a huge clue.

Cheney and company "outed" her to the conservative columnist Robert Novak. To this day there is no commnet from the CIA about the 'assests" that may have been compromised by Cheney and his cabal. This threatened not only the asests themselves, but also their families. And for what? For politics. Not facts, politics. So they can start a war. If you read around, the copy of the so called NIGER uranium customs papers were posted in the Italian press, and according to those in the know there, those papers were false. And those in the CIA also knew they were false. The part where they accused Joe Wilson of a "junket" provided for him by his wife (which she had no authorization to give) was a "talking point" hand written by Cheney himself in the columns of the op-ed piece of the NY Times. "Talking points" to not answer the question, but to discredit the messenger. And it so happens Joe Wilson's assesment on the situation was correct.
Cheney and his group, always attack the messenger, never answer the question presented them, just attack and personally destroy the messenger.
If anyone had bothered to read the intelligence reports from Germany, Italy, Great Britian and Denmark, they could easily see there were huge gaping holes in their so called "evidence."
This was done for purley political purposes without regard for anyones else's life or career. All so they can start a war.

back to biden.......... :? :? Biden: Petraeus ‘Dead Flat Wrong’ on Iraq

A flashback to less than a year ago from NBC’s Meet The Press,
    September 9, 2007:

MR. RUSSERT: Joe Biden, welcome back. Welcome back from Iraq. What did you see, hear, learn?

SEN. JOSEPH BIDEN (D-DE): Well, what I saw, heard, learned is a little bit what you heard from a general just a moment ago. There was a big disconnect between the truth of the matter and the reality. I mean, the truth of the matter is that, that the—America’s—this administration’s policy and the surge are a failure, and that the surge, which was supposed to stop sectarian violence and—long enough to give political reconciliation, there’s been no political reconciliation. The reality is that we’re supposed to, as you said, stand up American—or stand up the Iraqis so the Americans could stand down. We’ve been hearing that for five years. We’re nowhere near being able to do that.

The reality is that, although there has been some mild progress on the security front, there is, in fact, no, no real security in Baghdad and/or in Anbar province, where I was, dealing with the most serious problem, sectarian violence. Sectarian violence is as strong and as solid and as serious a problem as it was before the surge started…

MR. RUSSERT: Let me show you what you said in Iowa last week. “If we do not change course in Iraq soon, you’re going to see, two years from now, helicopters hovering over our embassy in the Green Zone in Baghdad with people hanging” onto “the ladders just like Vietnam. Mark my words.”

SEN. BIDEN: Absolutely, positively, unequivocally, I believe that. Look, let me tell you, Tim, there is no possibility—no possibility—of a central government governing Iraq in any near term…

MR. RUSSERT: General Petraeus said in a letter to his troops that we have not had the political reconciliation we thought we would have at this time. It’s been much slower, but there is some hope. And then he added this: “My sense is that we have achieved tactical momentum and wrested the initiative from our enemies in a number areas of Iraq. We are, in short, a long way from the goal line, but we do have the ball and we are driving down the field.” Is that what you expect him to say tomorrow?

SEN. BIDEN: I expect him to say that. And I really respect him. And I think he’s dead flat wrong. The fact of the matter is that there is—that this idea of these security gains we’ve made have had no impact on the underlying sectarian dynamic. None. None whatsoever… And can anybody envision a central government made up of Sunni, Shia and Kurds that’s going to gain the trust and respect of 27 million Iraqis? It’s not going to happen.

Now we know who's dead-flat wrong about every damn thing, and this jackass is leading the parade................

and for you to say "they wanted to start a war".....well let's just say that
reveals a lot about you.............please......get some help ...............

Before you vote, check out his stand on taxes

    INTERESTING DATA ON TAXES

Proposed changes in taxes after the 2008 General election:

    CAPITAL GAINS TAX

    MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

    OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales

How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adve rsely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.

    DIVIDEND TAX

    MCCAIN 15% (no change)

    OBAMA 39.6%

How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.'

    INCOME TAX

    MCCAIN (no changes)

    Single making 30K - tax $4,500
    Single making 50K - tax $12,500
    Single making 75K - tax $18,750
    Married making 60K- tax $9,000
    Married making 75K - tax $18,750
    Married making 125K - tax $31,250

OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)

    Single making 30K - tax $8,400
    Single making 50K - tax $14,000
    Single making 75K - tax $23,250
    Married making 60K - tax $16,800
    Married making 75K - tax $21,000
    Married making 125K - tax $38,750

Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!

    INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

    OBAMA Restore the inheritance tax

Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

    NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA

New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet.

New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already)

New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity)

New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....

New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

You can verify a lot of the above at the following web sites:

Again you are dead wrong. Or mislead by the likes of drug addicted entertainers like Rush Limbaugh.

    Lets talk of the "surge."

The "surge" of 30K troops did not end the violence in An Bar province. This was achieved by putting on the payroll reportedly between 75K and 90K former "insurgents." These were not insurgets at all! They were Sunni Iraqis. Please look up the definition of insurgents in the dictionary. These former "enemies" of the USA now gave the names and locations of Al Queda in Iraq members. The US then eliminated many of these Al Queda in Iraq guys. We now have armed the Sunni "insurgents" and they patrol sometimes with American forces. And also run patrols themselves and conduct intelligence operations searching for Al Queda.
The Shiite Al Maliki government has now put out arrest warrants for approximately 450 of these "sunni insurgent" tribal leaders. Now this is not goig to sit well with the Sunni's. This very well may lead to more sectarian violence, and the heightened possibility of a civil war. So this assesment may not be far off. Time will tell.

The Iraqi congress has now asked the US to leave their country 3 times. To set a time table for withdrawl, seems the only that doesn't want to leave is G.Bush. The latest "outburst" by Al maliki about a timetable and Condeelza (never signed a deal) Rice was immediately put on a jet and flown to Bagdad for top level discussions. It seems the Bush boys wanted a withdrawl date of 2015!! 2015? But more rational minds prevailed and 2011 is now the target date, still a long 3 years away. Of course, and here's the catch, "providing conditions exist." But Georgie and his gang will be long gone by then.

As for the cnn.money reply, that is a old one, been circulating for awhile, again wrong, please read the whole article. Takes notes if you must, and then you can see the fallacy in the original e-mail.

Sick? WHat part of the truth do you refuse to believe. It is truth about the Sunni's, look it up!
Look up Condeleezas recent mission to Bagdad, and the press releases about the meeting. What part of this do you refuse to understand?
